Just saw this now. If you work in a garage just make a space that fits between the shaft and the plate. That bolt should be long enough.

Exactly ^^^^ the wrong parts and when i asked what they will do about it i get no reply and still havnt. Customer service! I do work in a garage but that bolt is not long enough. So i will need to find a longer bolt that fits the rite thread and must fit inbetween the hole in the plate!! NITEMARE!! Your exactly rite in what your sayin they took a week to get back to me and are pretty much not bothered there arse!

Wel that was my first experience with them as iv only had my car about 6 months and will definatly not go back. Still had no response from cpe. I even asked if they would start to make the adapter to fit the uk spec or even make me 1 and i would pay for it but still heard nothing

Not to delve into things too deeply or falsely accuse anyone of anything(either party) The issue is being worked on now and has been since cp-e was first contacted.(ha ha 2 weeks blah blah blah I beat all of you to the punch lol) Myself or the OP will hopefully post the resolution.

So here's what's happening. So it appears that this is the first issue that has come up with the tow plate over seas. They haven't had enough demand for this product so they offered the OP a refund. This option was given when he first contacted them so at this point it's up to him what he does.

Why pay them to make one special adapter? You have the actual part, you know how much longer it needs to be. Take it to a machinist and he can make that for you easily, either to extend the CPE part, or a new single piece.

Do you know for a fact that another UK owner has actually purchased the front plate holder that doesn't actually fit a UK front plate prior to you doing so??

If so, do you know for a fact that they notified cp-e of the issue?

In the last week iv sent him 2 messages and emailed cpe and being ignored by both. I dont see how a company that manufactures there own products can take 2 weeks to source a small bolt!

"2 weeks" is CPE's way of saying 2 months. Very common. I would hit up your local fastener shop, fix it on your own, and chalk it up as a leaking lesson.

Wow dude. I'm trying to help you out. I DO NOT WORK FOR cp-e!!!! They are getting you the correct sized bolt/spacer and sourcing out where to get them. My hands are tied. PMing me EVERYDAY isn't going to get them to move faster. I can only do so much being 5 hours away from them. In every PM I respond to you I say "I will let you know as soon as I hear anything new..." I'm even going to cover the cost of the shipping if they decide to charge you, I definitely don;t need your attitude or pestering when I'm trying to help you get what you need to make the part fit!

UPDATE: Bolt and spacer have been on order since last tuesday. Its a special order so it's taking a bit longer to get.

Unfortunately, grumpy, since you are the face of cpe, handle their shit customer service, and have a couple pics of your car on their site, you tend to be tied to cpe. To be fair, an mail to him from cpe with details would have resolved the matter for at least 2 weeks.

In my experiences with 4 other vendors here in recent months, I get pm's replied to within 1 business day, email status updates, and more. Hell, @jbarone called me 20 minutes after a panic pm yesterday when had issues with the ssp. Problem solved. Edgeautosport sent my mt90 out the door 1 hour after $ was sent. @MATT DAMOND helped me with my cx7 after. Fucked the pcv valve. It's sad to see cpe dropping a presence here. It's not helping sales to see every thread you help resolve their issues. When Jordan and even Jake were there, any of this stuff was resolved. Actually, I take it back. There were no problems when Jordan was there, but Jake resolved a lot.

It's sad they cannot see the need to have someone here to promote their products in a tight market, flooded with lower cost, high quality alternatives.

I'm afraid to see in time, when sales for their stuff dry up, they seem the market dead, kill of the Mazdaspeed line to focus on Gencoupe and other lines
