Default Extended bung on DP

So I ordered a 3" catless DP, installed using the extended bung with the medium defouler tip and drove around for a while, love it, thought the defouler was working perfect, etc.

I ended up getting a CEL about 300 miles after the install, go online to check which ones I was supposed to uncheck in my tune and found out that the Gen 2's aren't supposed to use a defouler or extended bung for the secondary o2. My question for @www.cp-e.com; is, Why did my DP only come with an extended bung? Can I get a normal one to screw into the DP without having to go to shop and having them weld one on?

Its 20 bucks to add an extra bung at any muffler shop.

You dont even have to remove the dp.

Grind down the bung. No need for welding or defouler. Has worked fine on mine for twenty thousand miles.

You don't have to use the defouler, they include it with all of their cattless DP just in case you do. Take the defouler out, your O2 sesor will screw into where the defouler screwed into no problem.

The threads are different for the extended bung vs the o2 sensor

The threads may have gotten gunked up, but if the defouler threaded in fine you should be good. We recommend using some copper anti-seize on there before you install.

I used some anti size when I screwed it onto the defouler. I'm going to have to put my foot in my mouth if this works flawlessly haha

We're are hoping that it will work out flawlessly, not because we want to see your foot in your mouth, but just for your sanity so you can get back on the road quicker.
Although I think if it does work out you should post a pic of you with your foot actually in your mouth lol
