Default First CP-E Nano installed! w/pics

Well here it is. Pics are below. It's as good as i thought it would be. I like the design and it looks great also. Few tips for anyone installing one, the CNC bracket can be maneuvered to fit where it needs to be without to much of an issue. The small plastic tab has to be bent up slightly but once it is in it doesn't touch it at all. Also ensure the filter isn't pushed on too much. It only has to go on enough for you to tighten u the clamp. Anyways here is what you guys want to see...

The bracket should be the only thing that'd be different right? I've already got one preordered from SU and just plan on fabbing up a bracket of my own.

it shouldnt be that hard. the rubber vib stop allows for enough adjustment. you should be able to make one with a piece of scrap metal.

And honestly (and this is completely unofficial and not recommended by CP-E or any of their shops/installers *end disclaimer*) I bet you could safely drive this indefinitely without a proper mounting bracket. The Nano is very light and it really doesn't have anywhere to run to. Just make sure your clamps are tight.

Again, my words, not CP-E's.

They just needed a car to fit it on, that's all. CP-E has an in-house Speed3 for test fitting, but they don't have a Speed6.

Hopefylly y2k will get it all fixed up for you guys.

Default Gomers Pyles

having run the CP-E CAI for 18 months and with the stock air box on the car now for a month, i finally have the CP-E Nano SRI on now. My impressions.
1) SRI is smoother down low, with the CAI feeling a little better up top in the rpms.
2) SRI is better looking, very nice looking piece, as you can appreciate the intake, with the CAI all you see is the tube when you open the hood.
3) SRI is quite a bit quieter than the CAI. You do not hear all that sucking/flushing sounds like you do from the CAI...I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS, AS THE CAI WAS A TAD ANNOYING AT TIMES.
4)SRI has no potential hydo lock issues... I never worried about this with the CAI, but it was in my thoughts when we get downpours.
5) IMO..the SRI will run better on my car in the winter and colder weather because on the warm air in the engine bay, and may have the adverse effect in the summer. We all no the Speed3 does not like the cold weather and i do think the SRI in the winter will run better than the CAI especially like to today at 20 degrees.
overall, if i had to do it again, i would buy the Nano...i just like looking at the intake, even if its just an intake and the benefits of it being quieter without all the sucking noises that i had with the CAI feels better to me, as well as being smoother down low. I do not mind giving up a couple of hp up top for the benefits of having this SRI.....a HIGH QUALITY PIECE for CP-E and as usual.....and not to knock Cobb, but the air staightner in this thing blows Cobbs away in quality. CP-E FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are the pros and cons of the pre-filter oiled filter and the pre-filter dry flow filter?
