(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  HKS SQV adapting kit However, I have a question: When I was installing it, the housing came off of the BOV normally, but when I took out the "tri-star" thing in the middle in order to put the CP-e recirc hose nipple on there, it wouldnt fit quite right. The nipple would go in correctly, and seat all the way at the end of the BOV housing, but when I tried to put the housing back on, the tiny allen head bolts wouldnt ever grab. So either the bolts are too short or the rear end of the nipple was too long? I am currently running VTA and I have everything lined up (the recirc hose) so once this is remedied, it will be a 5 min swap. If it matters any, I did get the "limited edition" black BOV. Any help would be appreciated

| Not Ranked : 0 score the black powdercoating added a little too much thickness to allow the recirc nipple from going in. I just lightly took a sanding pad around the inside of the housing where the nipple needs to rest. Do it a couple times til it fits in, but snugly

| Not Ranked : 0 score mine had the same issue...no one warned me LOL...but allz well that endsz well.....but running it on VTA is questionable....if you enjoy all the pops,gurrgles, small backfires related to VTA then by all means. If you tune for it with the SB, then all will work as its supposed to.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yea, I dont want the issues of VTA, but I love the sound and pops that I get. lol- Im a ricer. I'll probably go recirc soon and change back to VTA when I get a PnP SB- but I didn't know that you could tune for VTA- I'll have to look more into that!

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have a similar problem with my black hks bov... except with me, the c clip will not stay in place at all!!! damn valve ends up coming off every time! ***EDIT*** Problem has to do with the o ring... It is too thick and does not allow the bottom off the valve to sit flush against the flange. there is a gap on the opening located on the underside of the flange. there is enough space to fit a small flathead screwdriver in. so when going into boost, the air goes into the flange and the valve instead of just the valve itself. since its under so much pressure it ends up pushing up on the valve and c clip, eventually making it come off Last edited by ZoomZoomPSSH; 06-20-2009 at 06:03 PM. |
