(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I purchased the full HKS SSQV kit from you guys last week (in store pickup) and it's still not on my car. I have tried everything I can think of and the snap ring will not clip into the groove on the CP-E flange. I have tried so many things that, quite honestly, I have scratched up both the flange and the HKS in attempt to just get my $400 working in my car. I don't know if there is something wrong with this flange (groove cut too low) or if you guys want to try and mate these two pieces but I'm at my wits end and I have no more ideas other than a $400 paper weight on my computer desk.

| Not Ranked : 0 score It's a pain in the Dick but it works. I doubt there is anything wrong with the flange as they pump out thousands from the same cut.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score There is pain in the dick...and impossible. I've been trying since Monday. In any case, CP-E says put it in with snap ring pliers...then press down with screwdriver. I've done that in so many ways and up to so much pressure I can't try any harder...and I'm a 235lb guy putting all my weight into it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Those huge snap rings are a pain. I've had this valve on different cars and it really is not a pleasure to put in. Try pressing the valve in as much as possible (to compress the oring underneath) or even have a second pair of hands doing it. On another thought if they are local then maybe take the pipe to them and have them weld on a different (Mazda) flange on the pipe. This would solve all the other issues we were discussing.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score @Lex, this is actually to get the mazda flange connected up to the HKS. I won't lie, I got so fed up with this a couple of days ago that I ordered a GFB BPV/BOV but I'd still rather not have a paper weight for my $400. I'm using the proper tools, just never had such a fit with anything before. Possibly do you mean welding the HKS to the Mazda flange adapter thing? That's a thought I guess.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Fuck that clip! I scratched the fuck out of my valve and flange, trying to get that thing in there. I finally got it in using a small flat head screwdriver, like was said before. Good luck, you're going to need it.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Well I wasn't crazy. Went by CP-E and they replaced a bad part after trying with the parts I had. HKS is installed now and CP-E took great care of me.
