Default The new CP-E motor mounts really do exist (pic for proof).

They're working hard to get these suckers out to the folks who ordered them, and they haven't even had time to recover from SEMA yet!

Is it a better option than a TRZ for a DD? And why did they decide to go with rubber on these?

I do have these in stock in case anybody is wondering where they can get one. Please pm me if youre interested... im discounting them less than the 139 msrp as always.

I had the new one on my car last month and they are far superior to the other mounts i used as far as vibes.... even with the new, firmer material their using.

I took this one to VIR on Monday of last week for "break-in." It's a 60 Durometer unit (not the optional 70) and it went in on Saturday (two days before the track).

I did have to re-torque the mount after I got home, but I'm pleased to report that this mount works exactly as advertised. It may not be quite firm enough for the hardcore dragstrip junkies, but that's what the optional 70 Duro mount is for. Installation was a breeze; it was much easier than the install on my old Mazda6 3.0L. In, out and done in twenty minutes with the car on ramps.

The increase in in-cabin vibration is only really discernible with the AC compressor on, and even then it's not significant. The new washer design does a great job of minimizing the transmission of vibrations to the wheel. The biggest difference you'll notice is that the start-up shudder is much more pronounced than stock. If that doesn't make sense, you'll understand the first time you turn the key.

3-4-5-6 upshifts on track were lightning-quick with no bucking or hesitation under full throttle. Wheel hop is greatly reduced in standing starts. Overall, I'm extremely pleased.

I do have one complaint. This mount has increased my desire to install a short-throw shifter.

I ordered direct from CPE, a couple of months ago. Just received it today. I was expecting the blue, soft rubber. Its actually for my wife's regular 3, and primarily just for PM, its no performance car. So, actually, I was specifically wanting softer, not harder.

Of possible interest, I also got in my CPE diff mount today, and it does have the softer blue rubber. Interesting that they changed away from the blue on the 3 mount, but sticking with it on the 6 diff mount.

I just thought of something, maybe somebody that has a blue one might want to swap for the new black ones. I'd even do an even swap, a new black for a used blue, if it is in good shape. I'd just want confirmation from CPE that it will hold up, but, I'm pretty sure it would, its only going on a regular 3.

So, anybody with a blue want to swap?
