Race Roots and the Drama

We attempted to help Race Roots save face and not lose money in the ordeal in which they were attempting to sell copy cat poor quality downpipes that are IDENTICAL to our MS3 downpipe that we R&D and fabricated. We had come to an agreement it seemed to which they had removed the product from their website and would send us the stock they had. In return we were willing to discount our downpipes to them for MUCH more than we typically do to help them. They would have actually made more profit this way but had to pay a little more up front - but in the long run it would have been a legit business decision and one that is not shady.

Recently they have avoided our emails and have placed the copy cat downpipe back on their website. As such we have no choice but to go forth with the legal action we mentioned in the past. We gave them WEEKS of opportunity to follow through and have been thoroughly disappointed with their business mentality and poor ethic.

As such the legal process has begun. This message will most likely drum up a lot more arguements from people on all sides of the spectrum.

Kevin (Haltech) has been a great person to deal with. He has been included in any and all communication between RR and CPE and has been kept up to date. As RR has been so "shady" in their dealings with this community, with cp-e regarding the downpipe issue and Haltech on timelines - Haltech has suspended their Sponsorship on this forum.

We have given them every opportunity to get out of the situation with grace and still make a profit. I am sorry it reached this point. Many other very unprofesional actions have been made by RR that led to this point but in the end things will have to be handled by our attorney.

I am sure Haltech or the moderators will continue to support and protect this community. We will continue to do R&D and bring you more ground breaking revelations. Lets just say the intake manifold isn't the only exciting hard part we will be releasing this year!!
