(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Alright time to make some comments and I really hope they do not cause problems but I don't want any comparisons to Race Roots. Please do not assossiate or compare us with race roots. The only reason their motor hasn't blown is because they are not making power or torque. I personally do not believe their dyno to be valid and real. I have real proof but will not go public. Our runfiles and muiltiple dynos will be posted. Doing this on a stock block will NOT be supported by cp-e. If I put our tuning solution and flashes tuned PERFECTLY on the RR car the motor would vent a rod near instantly. This motor is not capable of making the power we are now able to make on a stock bottom end. We brought seans car here and with a turbo 1/2 the size of the RR dyno made the same whp as what RR claims to have made yet did it at 19psi on pump gas, DI only, and no meth and he has LOWER compression than stock. Power begins at 3500 (400wtq hit at 3500rpms) and power holds on till redline. Our results are NOT able to be replicated by an AP. Like I have said multiple times - what we have found completely removes the limits this car has had in the passed. Sean tried EVERYTHING to make power with his AP. The best he was ever able to do was 355whp on a dynojet. That 355whp made 290whp on our dyno and we put down over 100whp and 100wtq over that. This motor will NOT stay running on a stock engine. RR may endorse that but when actually making power we don't. Sean's power under the curve is maintained from 3500rpms on. It does not make power between 5500 and 6500 only. We are not RR's competition. We do not make turbo kits. We offered Brice our tuning solution but his business practices led to our companies not working together. His kit seems to be quality. The only issue is that an AP does not have access to areas in the ECU that need to be adjusted and as a result the car can not make this kind of power on it. If Brice is willing to blow his motor I would be more than happy to put this on his car just as I would with any other regular customers car. |

The highest on cpe's dyno was 380, which turned into 435 on a local dynojet. Im not gonna claim that, because even if i did, it wont last long once these flashes start selling.
My head is stock....

| Not Ranked : 0 score Question for CP-E: I have an AP, is it possible to flash with the AP then apply the CP-E wall flash ? In other words can you use the AP and the CP-E flash at the same time, or do you need to ditch the AP completely and get the CP-E standback / wall flash ? Also how is the CP-E flash applied, I didn't know you guys had a flash tool. Thanks

| Not Ranked : 0 score it is not possible to incorporate the cpe flashes into the AP. you cant flash the ecu with an ap, and then flash it with CPE without uninstalling the ap. CPE flashes completely overwrite the ECU, so if you install an AP and then flash it with the cpe tune, you will lose AP functionality. It goes both ways, if you get the CPE flashes, and install an AP, you lose the CPE flashes.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks Kevin - The greatest part about all this is you DONT have to come here to do it. We need to flash your ECU and then you can tune it yourself or we can etune it with you. Sean, myself, and a few other people can help you tune through the logging capabilities of the standback. We do loving having people like Sean come up though - it was a blast having him here. In March we'll get him back up here for some 1/4 mile racing!! Well I guess its time to start heading back to the dyno to pull the runfiles off so we can finish the blog. Sean is packing up for his fun drive home now. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score so is this a new flash not yet on cp-e's website ? If I understand it correctly you need to get the standback, full control flash, fuel cut flash, wall flash for big power. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

| Not Ranked : 0 score This is great news for the US Mazdaspeed community indeed. Are there any plans to enable the FCF to be performed internationally (Australia for instance)? If the equipment was available here could you license the work to be performed outside of the US? |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score As far as I know we plan on limiting ECU flashing to our location. We will flash internationally but we do not plan to release the flash to distributors as we only flash in house. They have access to sell the flashes but the ECU still needs to come to us. I am going to close the thread and the next time you see a post from me will be to link our blog update with all the info!! |
