Standback Tuning

when did you install the standback?
was the initial log with the standback installed and all zeroed out at 19 psi?

I installed it before my o2 sensor went bad about 2 months ago and yes everything was zeroed out

ok so everythign was zeroed out and boost was set at 19 or was it set to 15

Fuel restore rpm= 2000
Fuel cut volt= 1.50
Maf voltage clip= 4.90
Min Map fc enable= -04.00
control kp=30.000
control ki= 00.090
control kd= 220.000
boost clip = 8
Map filt len= 05
wg filt len= 09

i would put it back to that untill i contact the cpe guys and figure out why the car is going rich when im taking fuel away.

The reason why i asked if your boost was at 19 orginally was because if it was set to hit \15 it might have not been activating the meth. Now that its at 19 the meth was in full swing making you run rich/bog. But thats not the case.

Hey Chris i talked to Jordan and he helped me out but when using the grid for boost it only builds 15 psi no spike or nothing and it would be great if it went to what its set for, so i was thinking if i use the desired boost would it throw my AFRs off?
Now its running good tune with 11s and low 12s AFR no knock i will post a log later.

try to not use that boost table and just set the boost to be steady. This turbo will not hold 19 psi.

im at work, its saved on my personal comp.
If you are tying to reach 19.5 anywhere after 4800 it probably wont happen. However you should be higher then 15....if it doesnt move from 15, i dont know what to tell you. You have issues that make no sense to me, unless ure maps are switching by themselves....is that map switch secure??

Call jordan...why wouldnt you wire in the switch....that could very well be why ure using odd result...who know what map your even on. Once again, i dont how it works when u dont do certain things. My switch is wired in and my maps and boost hold hold well

Before you end up wasting time, give cpe a call and ask them what happens when u dont wire in the switch. It might be ok, it might not. But if you have time, wire it in anyway lol

Finally installed the standback. I have 4 logs for you. There was a lot of traffic so I wasn't able to get the rpm range I would have like to get but here they are.

Actually Josh out of the box that doesn't look too shabby! If you're just using the base map then I can send you over a cooked one based on that DH info on Monday. Otherwise shoot me the map you're currently using and I'll just tweak it a little for you (jgartenhaus@cp-e.com).

Slow blinking green is the primary map, and fast blinking red is the secondary. If you're ever unsure of which map you're in you can also open the real-time graphs. There should be a live floating cursor in the table that you're currently using. In other words, if you're in the primary map and you open the primary fueling table then you'll see the floating cursor. The cursor indicates where you are in the table at any given moment.

i emailed you my tune. i was noticing very little difference between the 15psi map and the 18 psi map. both were holding boost around the same for the first few pulls. Then after a little bit of driving the 18 psi one started to feel much stronger. what do you think is max efficiency for our turbo?

Well I've been following this thread for awhile now and finally got my Standback in and played with it for a couple days.Now that I think everything has settled in I ran a couple different logs the last week.Here are 2 I did Friday evening temp was between 66-68 and the only differences were that one was on the primary map at 15 psi and the other was on the secondary map at 18 psi both were zeroed out other than that.By the way laloosh originally posted these over on your other thread but after the reception you got over there today I fidured you might not come back for awhile so I figured I'd post them here.By the way mine is a Standback2 and the software version on my computer is

Hey, your comparison thread got locked now so you'll have more time.
It's pretty annoying that a thread that actually had some good data and discussion gets locked because people want to argue back and forth.
I figure look at the data and decide for yourself and if you're not happy with the data, go get your own data.....
Also, the same thread on the other forum is gone because they lost all there data since the 14th.......
Anyway, I just sold my AP and have a PNP standback coming from palerider so will have my view comparison at some point. I don't have dyno's or time slips, it would just be some dashhawk comparisons and my personal opinions but I think I can be fairly unbiased.
I will be taking you up on the tuning help soon....
Should us newbies just start with the base 15 and 17psi maps already on the SB and get some logs?
What PIDS do you want?
