Default Thanks goes out to CP-e, Chunie and Darren

I know the job is not completed yet. But I wanted to give Chunie, Darren and CP-e a big Thank You. Long story short: I had a rattle at moderate load, 2500-3300 RPM. Sounded like the VVT or timing chain issue. Ordered a DCR VVT, timing chain and tensor. Directed CP-e to install while re-flashing my ECU. Test drive proved that was not the issue. After numerous diagnostics, CP-e found cylinder 3 was dead. Found a valve sitting in the cylinder. The valve train had finally failed during diagnostics. Speculated the valve may have slightly stuck open and was hitting the piston during load. This could account for my KR issue.

I assumed the cylinder is now toast and proceeded to do a stage 2 build for reliability. CP-e is working with me to make this happen. Starting with a stage 2 short block, service the cylinder head, move my engine stuff over, black crinkle VC and timing cover and maybe a new clutch while everything is a part. Also finally going AP. My wallet maybe a little lighter but I will have a bigger smile on my face in the new year. Sorry, I didn't have a detailed shot of the broken valve.

Thanks CP-e for the great customer service and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
