we need injector seals pronto!!!!!!!

the just released motor mounts and a tmic for us. they're working on a manifold/turbo kit, intake manifold, injector seals, full standalone, etc. for us - i'd say they're involved in the community. at least they didn't drop our platform when we complain about their products/release dates like cobb did.

i'm fine if they are spending more time doing development than posting on the forum. r&d puts out good products, not time spent on the forums.

who rushed injector seals to the market? ptp did, did they work? no.

speaking of which, it was ptp who famously said "2 weeks". at least cp-e isn't leading us on, it will be a good product when it's out though, that's for sure.

Well, I bought PTP v2 seals, but didn't install them due to reports of problems. And I think it is well understood their v1's were total fails. But, honestly, I'm not entirely certain that the v2's are fails. Some people have had problems, but, are we sure that the failures were on pristine surfaces and properly torqued?

No matter how good the part CPE makes, there probably will be some people who have apparent problems with them that aren't really the part. I decided to go ahead and wait for the CPE part because, well, if I do install the PTP's and have problems, then everybody will say I was a fucking moron for using them. And, maybe I would be, I don't know.

I guess the upshot of what I'm saying is, we just aren't dealing with a trivial problem. And problems that occur may not necessarily be with the parts themselves, whoever makes them.

I am hesitant to say the release for reasons mentioned earlier however, honestly most of the seal work is done. The remover needs to be completed now.

I stand by cp-e, sure it takes long as fuck for them to release stuff but im still waiting on these seals aren't I? I could have bought PTP seals and had my car done together an probably started tuning by now... and i opted to wait on SD/cp-e seals to release instead. that to me, speaks volumes.

Well, are they "necessary"? That's an impossible to answer question. I'm quite certain that most people won't notice a difference whether they use studs or the stock bolts. Then again, most people could probably use stock head studs instead of ARP and not notice a difference. If you can put in studs and torque it down a bit more as extra insurance against leaks, why not? $45 for some piece that look like they should cost a dime may seem expensive, but, it seems like some cheap insurance to me.

I agree. But I think the seals are the correct design to hold the injector in place. The cup takes a lot of pressure away from the crows foot.

We are working on the seal tool now. If you guys PROMISE not to call the shop asking when they will be for sale, I can tell you that the seals are actually now finished. We are just working on the tool now and some of the marketing / web stuff.
