Rob I appreciate the concern, but I'm not really that worried about it. It was a few months ago and as far as I'm concerned water under the bridge. The artwork I did for them can easily be changed with a simple name swap and used elsewhere.

Plus I'd rather not get credit for the artwork and have my name associated with them at this point LOL

That's just the thing - he thinks he's running a smart business I'm sure! I mean, all it takes is a credit card (for a bankroll) and a tax ID to get setup as a vendor at a distributor like Turn 14 who will drop ship parts (so they never have to hold actual inventory). Then these people (likely operating out of their bedroom or parent's basement) attempt to make a living on the lowest possible margins to undercut the legitimate businesses who have actual expenses (employees, rent, utilities etc...).

Thankfully, these days most forums are pretty good about culling the herd of real vendors. It's a tough business these days for sure...I know some people in the biz for many, many years and they all agree it's getting harder and harder to make a living with these fly-by-night operations popping up and the fact that everyone is literally chasing the same nut and likely going through the same distributors.

IMHO, these days the only ones that survive do so on knowledge base and customer service because competing on price is just too hard.

That's why I think people like Corksport and JBR are the REAL smart ones because they develop their own parts rather than trying to sling the same stuff everyone else is. Of course, that itself is also not a recipe for success (achem, SURE)

So, rule of thumb = cut corners and go for the 'ol hard-sell you'll effectively cut yourself out of the market!

That's exactly the reason. Best Buy and Fry's are notorious for this. Fry's especially, they'll list a TV in their ads for a great price, but they will not list the make/model # because their MAP doesn't allow them to say which. So it requires you to go online/store to find out.

Wow spent an hour reading everything. I knew something was fishy with him. A few months ago I was referred to him for getting RPF1s and he messaged me quick when tagged to my post on FB. He told me he could beat anyone's price. So I checked everywherefor the best price. Took him a week to respond back to me and said I can get RPF1s for 1100 shipped. I wanted to respond with fuck that even ebay and amazon have cheaper prices. Ignored him since. I'm checking to see if he's on my forum M3R if so I'm banning him ASAP. I will also never refer anyone to him ever and this will be stickied on M3R.

I only had one interaction with XTR Nate and it was kind of weird. A couple days after purchasing my Speed 3 and joining the facebook group he immediately sent me s novel of a message with literally every part he could sell me and he messaged every evening for like a week straight, never shut up about how I should do my business through him cuz he hooks the MS3 community up. Glad I never purchased from him cuz I was just about to see what kind of deal he could get me.

You keep saying "this group" are you not a part of this group? You must like the price of your car parts extremely high due to the shady business practices of this company? I think maybe you need to see your way into a different thread topic if you can't see the reasons behind this thread and are instead going to criticize other members. We are all guilty of something. This isn't about legality... never was. This is about giving credit where it is due, and as always, keeping people on our forum from getting dicked in any way shape or form, both vendors and members.

I have been dealing with nate and XTR's shady practices for months but kept it out of MSF to save a lot of hurt feelings. It wasn't until he tried stealing shit from people, changing shit around to make me look like the bad guy liar, and then banning me from everywhere that I decided to blast him publicly.

Gift payments, lack of invoice, high pressure sales, companies dropping them left and right are common sense factors no anoint of warning can prevent stupid purchases. Like Nigerian princes needing checks cashed.

We have the SURE warning thread too with photo proof galore, yet people still buy mounts that have fail bushings after months or weeks. Cannot help it if people want laser etched foam and. Installing mods repeatedly.

Again, msf has warnings about bad vendors, and of the risk of buying on Facebook and other forums with no buyer support. Hate msf all you want, but we have minimal scamming, with most all problems resolved. VIP has it's perks above and beyond what is posted.

Ya I wouldn't retune his car for free and then he tried to "sell" the remainder of his tune to someone else and then have me tune their car. Next thing I know he is "sponsored" by richtune.
