(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The only reason why I don't question it too much is because it pretty-decently mirrors the Vdyno. I was personally expecting about a 350/400 kind of run, but I believe that this isn't all too far off.

| Not Ranked : 0 score At first glance, the math didn't seem to add up. At 80% inj duty cycle with an E50 mix isn't that much fuel, but when compared to a max of around 255g/s...it's seems to match up. Napkin math says 255g/s is about 250-275 whp for pump gas. The E mix is allowing you to roll in about 10-11 degrees more timing. I've read on this forum that each degree of timing can add up to about 10hp. Up to MBT of course. That puts you exactly where you are.

Also, why are you revving out to 7200 on stock block/k04? That's high risk/0 reward with the k04.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score [QUOTE=voodoo2crue;3135906]When I put this into v dyno it comes up 293/296 which is more of what to expect out of a solid running K04 on an e mix. I'm going to conclude that it's not a unicorn afterall. Wait... A 50/50 e85 Speed3 running 22 PSI, and 296 ft-lbs of torque seems more reasonable? Most OTS Cobb Stage 2 Speed3's running 93 can surpass that. Running 14.5 PSI putting down 295: First dyno pulls on Stage 1 and Stage 2 Cobb Maps And almost every car on stage 1 or 2 on the COBB database puts down at least 300 ft-lbs of torque running only 15 or 16 PSI. https://www.cobbtuning.com/dyno-database/ Please, 410 might have been a high-reading, but I'm certainly not making 120 ft-lbs less than that.

I didn't make those numbers up, I used your data log with the CF 1.01 factor that everybody else uses on this forum. It's not perfect but should give you a good idea of power/torque made. Even if it was off 20-30 hp/tq your still not close to what that dyno said. It's a VERY happy dyno, you believe whatever you want to.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Okay. Is the Vdyno corrected for e85? or is it just gasoline predictions? If it's basing off gasoline numbers, I could understand that, just based off g/s of air. With e85 running much richer, the amount of air needed for combustion is much lower compared to 93, which could skew the numbers. Still don't know why I'm getting groaned at for posting numbers and video. Not making outrageous claims, just reporting what the machine told me.

| Not Ranked : 0 score you don't have to calibrate vdyno for different fuel types. at least not that i have ever heard of. we do need to know your tire size and weight numbers, though. fwiw, my stock block CS turbo on e30 vdyno'd at 365whp, and ran on a dynojet at 375whp. to approach that on k04 is far from the norm.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I will admit that the HP appears to be high; that much is certain. But I do not believe that the TQ number is very far off. Phate with almost the exact same mods, running similar timing with just full e85 rather than 50/50 was putting down 430 ft Lbs. I know that the torque is there, because I beat JB4 335i's, 5.0's and S3 Speed3's. E85 Discussion - HPFP lubrication and Flow issues

| Not Ranked : 0 score vDyno measures the rate of acceleration and uses weight, gear ratio, tire size, etc and uses physics to calculate torque required to do X amount of work. Horsepower is calculated like always from the calculated torque and RPM. Engine size, VE, BSFC, fuel type, ignition timing, boost, etc are irrelevant to the calculation.
