Default Psycho's 700hp Speed6

FINALLY!! All the hard work/money/time has led to me being fucking happy as hell, and my 6 being goddamn fast.

I need to thank about a million dudes on this forum. Since I started lurking back in 08 till now I have been reading and learning from all of the following people: @whoosh@Realtune, @superskaterxes, @djuosnteisn, @socks(shon), @FORZDA 1, @NJSPEED3, @SPEED6 KILLAH, @Darksun280, @doubleflusher, @06Speed6(finish your goddamn build!<3), @Captain KR, @Downmented, @Realgib3, @Dano, @phate, @silvapain, @Erich, palerider(jklol), Laloosh(also jklol). I have followed all your builds, some people more than 1 build, and have taken the knowledge from your experiences, successes, and fails, to compile my own build.

For all the people who have given me positive comments in my build thread. You helped me push through when my car was frustrating the fuck out of me. And made all the effort of updating, worthwhile.

I need to also specifically thank the people who have helped me immensely, from hands-on help, to telephone/pm troubleshooting, to just general support:
@SPEEDPERF6RMANC3; Rakel, thanks for rubbin your dick beaters all over my motor! Gerry, thanks for blowing that sticky icky in my cylinders, it's why the stock sleeves are holdin' up.

@SPEED6 KILLAH; I really can't say enough good things about Pablo man. He is just a great guy, super knowledgeable, passionate about what he does with our cars, bends over fucking backwards to help out. We've spent many hours on the phone talking about my build, or helping me troubleshoot stuff, or just general bullshitting. I've come to make a really good friend in Pablo.

@superskaterxes; Anthony dude, thank you for helping me with the aux fueling and just generally being extremely supportive of my build. I owe you a beer for sure when I come visit NJ.

@Jim@JMF; Thanks for being so easy to get a hold of while the PI Mani was in production and so quick to send out parts when I needed them, at no charge whatsoever! JMF Makes quality stuff and I'm glad they jumped on board to provide a part that had been holding us up, and that Cp-e has taken 2 weeks to the nth power to come out with.

@ms3blackmica; My fucking tuner! Talk about helpful, knowledgeable, and just a great person in general. I think I've chatted with him on FB/text as much as my GF the past couple months lol. I trust him with my motor as much as I would Pablo. I have found another long term friend here.

9 Oct Dyno UPDATE!

Pulled up to MKC Performance around 830 to let my car chill from the 2.5 hour drive. Dudes were already in there working on cars.



So at first I kinda wandered around the open shop door, and was ignored. Eventually I walked in and was told to go upstairs and check in. The owner told me to sign something and hand over the key. Wouldn't really answer my questions with more than one word and overall seemed agitated that he had to talk to me at all. He even said "We just pulled a 500hp Supra off the dyno for you...". I kept my mouth shut because I knew he would inevitably fill his own with his foot.
He eventually drove my car in and got it situated on the dyno and began strapping it down. At this point I was standing off to the side where I assumed people would stand to watch. He informed me that customers normally wait upstairs out of the way. I, of course, stayed where I was. The other 6 or so guys working in the shop pretty much ignored me and my car. Shit changed after the first pull...
All of a sudden everyone in the shop is standing around the car, saying "What the fuck is in that thing?!" and getting all amped up about the numbers. The shop owners attitude towards me did a complete 180. Yep, time to fucking take the Mazdaspeeds seriously.
It was supposed to be a 3 run baseline style, but he did 5 runs for me. The first 3 were back to back, 1 was in 3rd for just a test, the 2nd the tach signal got fucked up by vibrating off the intake manifold, and the 3rd was the heatsoaked 676. For the 4 and 5th runs, we let the car sit for 10 mins, and I sprayed the intercooler with room temperature water to bring the BATs down under 120. Basically where they would actually be at if I was outside driving. Here's what we came up with:

As far as what "could have been". Yes we probably "could have" gotten a bit higher numbers if we used tricks like bags of ice, or if the weather would have been cooler, or higher concentration of Ethanol, or race gas, or, or, or.. You get the idea. For me, my goal was 600... We fucking smashed my goal. So everything above that number was icing, not just any icing, cream cheese icing.

man, this is quite the feat. first of all, i hope you are proud of yourself for what you've accomplished. any help aside, i know what you mean about the positive comments pushing through the frustrating times.

second of all, im honored that, as a "has been" (me, obviously not you lol), you've found help in anything that i've posted or gone through.

i'm impressed by a few things. quite obviously the ability of your speed6. i'm also impressed by your work ethic, documentation, and dedication to meeting (/exceeding) your goals.

you've gotten to a point that, for a 4 cylinder street car, is VERY hard to get to. its time to enjoy it.

and last, but not least, cream cheese icing rocks. especially on red velvet cupcakes made by @mizboo102. <3 her red velvet cupcakes. ooh, and cheesecake. im getting hungry.... brb.

Very nice work. I had little doubt you were there. Hopefully there will be more to follow soon. Time to start proving that the mazda disi is no only capable of big power but a reliable platform for it.

Did ms3blackmica get that tune to that point purely through eTuning? Very impressive (either way, but that much more so if purely eTuning.)

The Turbo might have more, I dont think it would be much. And it is nto able to force any more air into the motor with my current setup. Cams paired with the 75mm TB would absolutely net some gains there. Without any compressor maps from PTE, I bet I'm probably dippin my feet in the water on the far right side of that island.

OH shit I was wondering when looking at the logs why the fuck the car cut out for a sec.. Traction control was on and it spun on the dyno LOL no fuciking way. There is no way the operator turned it off and I didn't even think it would fucking slip. That explains it!

Also I didn't say anything about the Supra. Just kind of chuckled to myself silently. hah
