Default VD accuracy

I made 4 logs today on rt 19 two southbound and 2 northbound, one was bad as someone tried cutting me off but here are the three. Honestly thought it would be higher given the mods and tune. BTW this is the ms6 sport in my sig

It's about right, unless you've got cold weather (like I did for the numbers in my sig).

when it asks for air temp, is it the ambient air temp or intake air temp?

Forgot to mention it is tuned for 20 psi. Also when it asks for air temp, is it referring to ambient or intake air temp?

Newark International Airport.

They aren't exactly in your back yard, but there's definitely plenty of eth around NJ.

A 20 min drive to East Orange is well worth the fun of 300 whp and instant spool.

Ambient. What else is in the tune? I mean, you haven't just turned up the boost, right?

Why would you not like the idea of corn? No knock and about 30whp more... What's there not to like other than the inconvenience of having to do your mixes?

As I keep reading, I'm liking it more and more but I don't see myself running corn daily. I'm leaving to TX tomorrow for a few weeks. (military crap) I'll hit up Nishan for a corn tune

the need to mix is all but unnecessary now with regard to the sticky death. Fueling headroom is another story on BT cars.

somewhere around this post.

E-85 Cure With Fuel Additives

clifs: Royal Purple Dexxos spec oil (no others) + Redline SL-1 lube in the CDFP periodically.

it has been found that setting the CF to 1.01 provides the most accurate numbers when compared to a loaded Dynojet.

at least that's the last I heard about a year ago. the default 1.09 is generous.

Interesting.....

I'm a bit curious as to what is causing that red dust on the parts. Has anyone tried this without using that fuel cleaner? Perhaps that is the cause for the sticky film on them when he pulled them. Then again, maybe not because it did dry out.

I'd be interested to see what they look like after 10-15k without being pulled and cleaned. I wonder if it could be a zero maintenance long-term fix.

Well that depends on what the goop was on his internals before it dried out. That's why I'm curious if that SR1 or whatever is the cause of that, and its just a lube film that stuck around. IDK, cuz it dried out, so if it was actively still lubed with that shit, then it shouldn't have dried out.

You guys are making me want to get RP and give this a shot. I've never pulled my FP in almost 30k miles. My car has always been fine, so I never bothered. However, 100% E is very appealing to someone with a busted ass level sender. lol. Hell, doing mixes is a mild inconvenience, but a bit obnoxious if you don't have to.

I guess I look at the red dust like this....if you didn't pull the pump it would probably have just remained suspended in the fuel...IDK...there again time will tell but the RP Dexxos + SL-1 is the most promising development thus far.

I do run a mix ( E40) and it is a mild PITA to pull up to 2 pumps each time. I have a genwan so no fuel sensor issues occur that I am aware of. very weird that the PUs have it..damn fangled digital displays. If I went full E I would have to man up and get a 5th port though. Not too sure I want ~ 30% of my fueling coming from a $5 meth nozzle..lol

Question: I know Brian Barnhill keeps tweaking his Virtual Dyno program with each new version. Is CF 1.01 still considered now to be the closest to typical Dynojet readings, or has be gotten his DJ calibration right for us? I'm reading different opinions here on this, but the posts seem to relate to different versions of the software.
