If Phillyb smoked crack, his name would be Phillycrack, and he would have sold his Speed3 for crack.

As far as weight reduction, don't carry fat women in the car. That keeps it fast.

You can take the entire interior out of the back, and cover it with the little storage tarp thing behind the rear seats and keep a large blanket back there. The sound deadning can come out. New front seats with no side airbags should save a few pounds. If you wash your car often, you can take the windshield washer resivoir out.

There are better ways, such as adding performance parts. Weight reductions aren't really necessary unless your just hXc. Nothing wrong with being super hardcore.

Like corbs said, one of the best things you can do is lightweight wheels and tires.
Some 17 lb wheels will not only shave 28lbs from the car, it's rotating weight so can figure it at double to triple the weight.
Pay attention to tire weight too and you can reduce even more.

Sadly, the lighter wheels I want are pretty costly, so that has to wait lol.

Someone was working on some two piece, stock sized MS3 front rotors that were 10 lbs lighter than the stock rotors.

Believe me you will shave WAY more than 40 taking the entire interior out. The front seat alone is about 50... I guarantee that if you pull ALL of your interior out except your front seat you will loose about 150lbs!!!

This is the
cushion for the rear seat 10-15lbs
floor mats 6-8
backs of the back seat (at least 30+ lbs there)
front seat 40+ lbs
spare tire 45lbs
jack 10+ lbs

We know someone with a speed3 that we weighed and it weighed in about 2750 with a full interior strip except for the front seat. He also had other things on the car that contributed to the weigh reduction. But when we took the interior out we lost about 150+ lbs
