(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I have been lurking on these forums for a good while while doing research. Ended up getting a 2010 mazda cx7 in brilliant black grand touring awd. It's pretty much an oversized mazdaspeed 3 and I love it. I plan on lowering it on bc racing br coil overs and getting some new/different rims/tires. After that a downpipe/exhaust and a tune. Not sure what exhaust parts or tuning software, still need to research that. My previous car was a 2005 subaru legacy 2.5gt limited which was modded to "stage 2" which means it had downpipe /3" exhaust and custom cobb accessport tune. Then stanced out on br racing coilovers. Before that a stage 2 wrx wagon lowered on God speed coils. Then before that a bunch of engine swapped honda civics. I am an automobile enthusiast, love working on cars, but more importantly driving fun to drive cars. I look forward to nodding my new cx7. I eventually want to get a face lifted nb miata and do a honda j35 engine swap, however that's down the road a good ways. First mods was removing the front plate and dealer plates from the rear. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Well being performance car enthusiasts here, we frown on stancing. I personally loathe it dare I say more than the Prius. However, for reasons that are beyond me, part of me wants to see you stance the shit out of that CX-7. Really though, good buy. It's some of the best fun that can be had out of an SUV with all the tune-ability of a speed. Research the common gremlins before you go modding, but have fun with it and welcome.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Stancing might not be the correct term. I don't go hella flush. Just go with a wider wheel / tires set. Remove the wheel gap and give a little camber. Still very functional and the legacy was driven the way a turbo awd car should be. The legacy was where I called functionaly low. I can park over curbs, can get over speed bumps, and daily it with no tire rubbing. I will eventually be setting up the cx7 the same way and make it effectively into a super clean wagon. I do appreciate the heads up on checking out the gremlins. |
