What would you like to see MAPerformance make?

As the title states what would you guys like to see produced for the Mazdaspeed that is not available for it at this time. As may of you have seen from our fab thread we have the capabilities to make just about anything.

Now would be a perfect time to start designing and making intake manifolds, as a lot of people are cracking the stock ones from installing SURE TIG's. heh. although with development time, it may be a little late, but I'm sure better late than never applies to this situation.

But as for something that is not available at this time, how about a strut tower brace for the 1st gen, or upgraded axels?

Are there really that many people interested in a intake manifold or just a few? What would you guys be willing to pay for a sheet metal manifold?

There are at least 5 people who have cracked their intake manifold of just the 10-20 people who have installed the SURE TIG so far, I'm betting there will be more. my guess is if it is around $600-800 (seems like Mazda wants $900 for a replacement), it would be a viable option, especially if there were options for Meth to be integrated (for a fee of course)

as far as people interested, that would depend on the price and gains. closer to $600 you should expect at least 10-20 people interested from interest I've seen around the forums.

I'd definitely be down for a custom intake manifold (I currently have a P&P MAP IM) for anything around $800 or less.

i think 6-700 would be the ceiling for an intake manifold

and i think it would sell pretty hardcore



or a REALLY good flowing tubular manifold would sell like a bastard if it was no more than 700

A better battery box for MS3 would be nice. My plastic one is Falling apart. Does not need t be too fancy, just needs to hold the ECU, and tie-downs for different batteries, as my Optima is not that snug.

You should produce silverdemon's IM and hprv. That way it can come to the market right away. Idk if he already foind a manufacturer yet but of not that would be perfect for everyone.

HELL yes...most useful post I've seen all day...

Silverdemon designed the CP-e injector seals. They rock. CP-e bought the rights to produce the design. Pretty much zero R&D costs to them, they could simply make them and start selling right away. What happened?

Tons of people bought them. CP-e made a ton of cash.

MAP....Get in touch with silverdemon and mass produce his IM!!

I guess I'd be curious to find out if @maperformance thinks that their ported manifold is good enough rather than a fabricated manifold in terms of the realistic goals for hp output for this platform. or at least up to a certain hp before a different manifold would be needed to take advantage of higher flow needs.

With that in mind
