Audi S8 > Mazdsepped 3

So... just wrapped up some rebuilding and upgrading on the speed tonight... And found and an older S8 next to me... Like you'd expect from a tuned V8 and supercharged AWD, he got me BAD off the line... by the time I made 3rd, there was no closing the gap... just holding 3-4 cars back.

Needless to say, there's probably not a lot one can do to pull on an Audi S anything (with mods)... they seem to be very formidable, unless the driver is a douche.

Don't waste your gas against Audis.

Unless its a gay ass TT. Then you have no choice.

The only S8 I would would be worried about is the 5.2 liter... thats a damned bored out (original was 5.0) lambo motor in there.... they are heavy but 444 hp of power and 398 lb·ft of torque will go a long way considering that is where they start (stock). my better half drives an allroad A6 (the 2.7 Twin turbo) certainly has more traction then my fail wheel drive and it takes me a a bit to catch her if I didn't realize she was into the throttle but she has a hell of a time (not) catching me if I am moving already

I categorically disagree. The 5.2L V10-powered S8 was only capable of a low 5-second 0-60mph time. That being said, supercharging it would make it a bit more of a challenge. The one to worry about though is the current model. The new 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 is a beast. Off the shelf it can do high 3 to low 4-second 0-60mph runs.

This thing had to be heavily modded... Sounded like he hit his rev limiter from "GO" and that was it...I never heard any shifting, or changing of his revs. His exhaust was high pitched. Seemed weird as all the D-bags here have low burble-burble exhaust.

Launch control maybe? In comparison to other cars I've seen with flatfoot launch and shift... Had to be that.
