Big Turbo RSX

SO... I blow by a pile of scars, get caught at a light. Dude burns it to get beside me... kinda waves and pionts at the light. So we go... He gets me off line, I overtake at 3rd and his turbo actually hurt my ears- fucking ridiculous screaming from this thing. I stay half car ahead till 5th runs out, then he pulls half car on me up to 140. Red light coming up...at the light I ask him what hes got? He just laughed. I've never heard a 4 banger make this kind of turbo noise. I'm only at 292 whp now and we were matched- with his big turbo

The moral of the story is... just cause its a shitty acura, Don't think you'll get him.

I need to re-evaluate. I cannot abide that an acura keep up.

I use to own a cammed rsx and
I use to beat my homies stock ms3 all day
So a turbo rsx would deff have no problem pulling

Most of the standard 5 speed RSXs weighed 2700 lbs. With a BT, they would prob take a speed3 with the same BT pushing the same boost considering that we have almost 600 lbs more curb weight that we have to carry as well.

So if you don't have a BT, I highly doubt he had a BT either. Maybe a kraftwerks S/C kit, in which case they make 300-340 depending on the size of the rotrex S/C.

I just put together that the engine in that forking RSX is the engine in the Ariel Atom... likely because it's very good. I feel better now.

OP got lucky, big turbo rsx on stock motor with good tune makes 400whp with ease. Small turbo, or not tuned, or both on the rsx.

There are fully bolted and cammed k20z1 rsxs making 260whp on the stock compression...

When you go BT on a type s, expect 400whp, stock block.

If you REALLY want to see some scary hondas, just go check out the hundred or so stock block 5-600 whp s2000s. One made 720ish on the stock block...only for a few months though.

And by your description, id say he was on a pulley, not a snail.

So they put in a spacer. If you milled the head when you were replacing a head gasket and picked up an extra .2 or .3 of compression, would that no longer be a stock block?

The point is, they made that power on the stock bottom end from the factory. What they did required no removal of the crank/rods/pistons. Honda has some great motors, its hard to argue against it. I think the problem is the kids with their stripped to hell EK hatches and their bolted up D16Y7s...they ruin the honda name for their entire community.

No, I meant it was EXTREMELY impressive that all that was done was a spacer to reduce compression. Wasn't raining on their parade. I like honda, they make some of the best 4 cylinder engines.
