C6 base model Corvette

Last week, I had to go to Georgia. Long story. On the way down, I crept up on a relatively new base model Vette. Harassed him a bit to antagonize him into racing because I'm a child and ill race anything anytime against better judgement...lol. So started from 60mph. No brake boost, no beep, rather informal. I just waited for him to gun it and I put it down. Started in 4th gear even with him. Race ended at about 130 with his rear bumper at the nose of my front bumper. That's on my 93 octane map. When we slowed down he was giving me a look like "WTF is in that thing!?!?" Then he exited. Another fairly satisfying result. I thought I was gonna get beat a lot worse that I did.

430bhp C6 gunned it first. ~315bhp MS3 guns it after. Glued to rear bumper of C6. Sounds legit.

There's a bigger difference between close to his back bumper, and just barely seeing his tail lights. That look was "what was this dude thinking" I used to work at a chevy dealer, I've driven plenty of c4-c6 corvettes. My car couldn't touch a c6. C5? Eh maybe, but it's still a better car.

Not that unbelievable guys.... a base model c6 has the 6.0 with 400 hp and 400 tq AT THE CRANK...

The speed weighs in a little over 3200 lbs and the corvette weighs a little less than 3200 (like 3179 or something).

Judging by the 360 ish wtq that he made at the last dyno, coupled with the corvette probably having an automatic, makes me feel like the race would be a lot closer than most would think...

Judging by most rwd calculations for whp and wtq, it puts it right in line with his speed 3. That's just my research. Bash all you want, but if it was a base corvette, I believe it.

The kid was at the car show with our Pittsburgh group. It's definately a cobra swap. I think I know a supercharger when I see one. As for it running correctly, that I don't know.

Based on what I just read, it comes with 430hp. Lighter, more aerodynamic, etc, etc. Most trap between 112-118 bone stock. And the auto is a 6spd. He wasn't on the corn either so not a single fuck is given in reference to the 360tq.

OP, do you have anymore of the acid you were on during this run?

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt because the "relatively new" c6 could be a '06 with 400hp. And with the calculator that determines whp says that with 400hp with an auto and rwd makes around 322whp... relatively close to his 93 map...

Keep in mind most vettes are under rated...The average dyno for a c6 auto is 330-340rwhp. C6 manual is 360-370.

When I said relatively new I meant first gen with te fixed headlights, which since it hasnt changed since then, it couldve been any vette up to like 6 years old. I couldn't remember when they started that. And it probably was the 400hp '06 like @DVM17; said. And it was definately an auto. And yea I just te gas a split second after he did. But it's an auto. So in te short time it takes for it to downshift from 6th to 3rd or whatever gear it decided on, my car spooled since I was at like 4K anyway. What's so unbelievable about it? It happened. I would've thought I'd've got destroyed too but it is what it is. Don't believe me. Idc. I didn't think about getting a video at the time. Sorry my story offended you so bad. Also, I think I can tell when a fucking corvette is on it or not. It makes quite a lot of noise.

Hop on SVTPerformance there's a bunch of low mile cars. Theres one in LI for $23,500 with 12k miles. Or for $27k a friend of mine has an 04 with 2200 original, built motor, KB blower, etc.
