(Thread Starter) |  FML, I need a GoPro...  So right before the light changes, I notice on the other side is a new body STI sedan; shit just got real. Other light starts to change *puts on troll face*, I start to roll, light turns green... I went easy in 1st, early shifted 2nd, and tried to be easy on the throttle until 3rd. Easy failed and I spun, so I went into 3rd and just put on the rape face. I don't think either expected me to come popping out like that, but they both gave chase as soon as they noticed. Looked like a decent race between the two, in my rear view mirror, as neither were catching up. So the SRT8 comes past first doing the ricer flyby, as I let off going into 5th. Then comes the STI flyby. So at the next light, I pull next to the STI and roll down my window... And let me note now, that I've been wanting a race with an STI since the day I bought my car, and never got one. Anyways, dude in the STI rolls down his window and says "dude that fucking thing is fast". So I played it cool and said thanks, and asked if he would do a roll race with me so I could get my STI race I always wanted. He agreed to run, so now we were looking for room to stretch the legs. Couple miles down the road, we get a clearing and the downshifting begins. I drop it into 3rd at 45-50mph, and I believe he went into 2nd. I honk it nice and slow, so there are no excuses, and we're off... I started pulling immediately. When 3rd gear was done he was probably at the back bumper. When 4th was done he was far enough back that I could see him in my rear view mirror. At this point, I believe I screamed with excitement (internally, but could have been external) like a little girl being asked to the prom and getting my first kiss (combined). Then I rolled a bit of 5th for good measure. Switched lanes in front of him with enough room to see him, his fogs and a healthy gap between us, and began to brake. Guy pulled up on me, and gave me props with no excuses, which I tried to play off cool. First thing he said was "holy fuck that thing is fast, want to go from a dig?" I laughed and told him fuck no, and that I wanted to remain on top in my moment of glory. Asked him what he had, he said exhaust, but no tune. I don't know about intake or not. Regardless, it felt good to get that STI badge. Next time on E maybe, for the real rape to ensue. We threw the deuces and went our separate ways; me with a shit-eating grin about as big as the one on the front of my car... The end. TL;DR - STI loses. 300c probably ran away to go cry in a corner. I give all credit to mah tuner @RichieRichness; for making me haz teh fastz. The man has done wonders with the car and we ain't even done yet. I stand behind him and recommend him to anyone looking for a tuner. E85, and hopefully more stories (vid preferred) rape, soon to come.  RichieRichness and kolosok17 like this.

| Not Ranked : 0 score @CWP_MS3; I actually just had a run in with a new STi hatchback last night. From what I could see/hear he had at least an exhaust and a BOV. To give a TLDR version; I pull up next to the Jewbaru at a light to make a left. Light turns green and we both make the left turn. The STi paces me the whole time, and hits his BOV. Floor it in 2nd gear and put retarded length on him. He pulls up behind me at the next light. I give it half throttle when it turns green and I see the guy is up my ass. I could hear his BOV again as he shifted into 2nd or WTF ever. I nail it in 1st and watch him fall way back. It was very meh. At least it sounded nice. I cant get anything legit to race me

In reality though I don't need to do that. I use the WiFi on the Hero 3 so I keep the camera off most of the time and only turn it on when I want to capture something.

yeah, this new generation of POV cameras are pretty unbelievable at what they are capable of... Im a photog myself and I shoot w/ a 5DmkII & 7D (& a bunch of L Glass) but there are places cameras this big just cant go safely/cheaply (unless u have a auto pole).. Hero3 is my next camera for auto/kayak/ski

| Not Ranked : 0 score Meh. The new STi isn't all that fast from a roll. I've pulled one from a dig even, by 80 he was at my rear QP. Had I shifted to 4th @ ~95 and rode that out there would have been enough of a gap to fit even the MS3 grin, with room left for Pam Oliver's mouth. You sure it was a SRT8 C? I thought those were like 106mph cars stock? I know we're dealing with a big bad MS3 here, but the SRT8 should've sodomized the STi.

I drive a FWD car. If I had a speed6 I'd be far more inclined to track it and really push the limits. However, I don't and I accept what I have. Not saying it can't be done; just saying its not ideal, and I don't care enough to invest serious effort in it. I (Rich) made my car fast because that's what I like to do, and a sushi roll rape machine is fine with me... If tracking was a serious passion of mine, I would have traded in for a MS6 or something else that is AWD a LONG time ago.
