Revolution Performance Motorsports Revolution Performance Manufacturing (RPM) was started by three Mazda 6 enthusiasts in early 2004 under a simple premise: to develop and manufacture new products for the Mazda 6 at an affordable price. We began to realize our purpose with the short throw shifter and gas hood lifter kits for that vehicle. Since then, we have added many new aftermarket products from well-known manufacturers and continue to expand to offer products for other vehicles with the goal of having the best prices and customer service on the 'net.

This is long awaited great news.

Starting to put my "I didn't buy that last beer at the bar" dollars into a jar for this one.

Thanks RPM for taking my money. Ordered and now I'm stuck with a stupid smile on my face. It's time to start stacking away parts for a motor and BT build over the winter.

If it comes with the same oil drain line gasket as the s3, I would suggest reusing the OEM one or buying a new OEM one. I installed my s3 and used the supplied gasket and after 2 months the return line was spraying oil onto the back of my block.

I totally wish the BNRs4 was out when I was shopping for a turbo... Might have to upgrade next year

Ordered mine today. Quick question. I already have the bosch 3 bar map sensor. Anyone foresee the need to get a 3.5. Or should the 3 be fine.

3-bar will be fine for most people. You'd need the 3.5 if you planned to go over 28 lbs of boost.

The 3in is fine. But eventually you'll want to upgrade to the 3.5in.

If you can swing for a 3.5in, go for it.

well it was late, and didn't see that. In that case, if you are going to get a Guardian Angel, that has a 4bar MAP Sensor already.

We can confirm that some shipped today. Our first 5 pre-orders shipped, but I'm not sure how many total, as I'm sure BNR may have also shipped some direct orders, etc.

So do we know if anyone has ran this without aux fueling? Kind of interested to see what this would do on straight 93. Probably the same as a gt30 but for $500 less.

I want this turbo bad. But I may just have to hold off for a sweet Christmas/Black Friday sale. No point in going BT in winter I guess....

This won't make much over 375 on just 93. Throw some E in and stock fuel system should be able to carry you a little over 400.

I think this is the way to go over a gt series. Does it really matter all that much journal vs ball bearing? $500 is a lot of cash

When comparing two identical turbos (aside from bearings), the ball-bearing will spool a little quicker. That said, this turbo spools pretty quickly as is, so I don't know that the extra $500 would result in too much real-world difference. Durability is the same if both turbos are well-cared for.

What RPM said is all true. But just for a bit of clarification though, ball bearings provide better transient response. Off the line the spool difference between the two is suuuper minimal, but in a roll race the ball bearing will spool decently faster. The other main advantage to a ball bearing is they survive surging for a much longer period of time than a journal bearing. Realistically though, you'll be perfectly fine with a journal bearing turbo. My S3 is journal bearing and it barely spools slower than a k04.

That's very doable with a proper meth setup.

One of our customers hit 408hp on the S4 with an E85 mix only. Meth added another 30hp.

Next batch shipping out soon? Or do you still have some in inventory?

First batch hasn't totally shipped out, yet. More going out early next week. Once all pre-orders are filled, we'll still have another 10 or so in stock from the first batch. Not sure how long it will be for the next batch.

Really excited to see what these end up putting down. My only concern is my clutch and motor if I go this route. Seems like a lot of stock block motors give up around 20-30k after a BT (not blown but rings and shit toast)

Well, I just ordered this package. I feel this could be a great setup for those of us wanting to push the stock block for a decent DD package. Im hoping for a very fun street friendly speed

I was thinking the same thing, as long as you can resist turning things up it should be a good setup.

On that note.... I didn't even make it past the final tune of my S3 before my rings started showing signs of shitting the bed. My car had 40k miles of 99% stock with just an intake. Than I went fully bolted with an S3 plus tune and well.... So that is what led me to my stupid, crazy, I think I have a spending problem, build. Lol I loved how fast that S3 spooled, tires never stood a chance. Can't wait to see more on the S4!!

I have 20K of 37K on the S3 and E85, pushing 25.5psi, 17.5° timing, and 7200 RPM redline. Damn thing won't blow up. I have a spare engine sitting here - maybe that is the key.

Sounds exactly like my setup but I also ran a dvc-30 just as a fail safe at anything above 17lbs.
