Revolution Performance Motorsports Revolution Performance Manufacturing (RPM) was started by three Mazda 6 enthusiasts in early 2004 under a simple premise: to develop and manufacture new products for the Mazda 6 at an affordable price. We began to realize our purpose with the short throw shifter and gas hood lifter kits for that vehicle. Since then, we have added many new aftermarket products from well-known manufacturers and continue to expand to offer products for other vehicles with the goal of having the best prices and customer service on the 'net.

I dug this up searching for ETS vs CPE:

Corksport / ETS / CP-E TMIC before/after logs - got 'em, post 'em

I'm wondering if these ICs may perform better/differently on a genpu where there is more room for the air to come in. I noticed on my car with the CPE that there is next to no room, and i mean only a millimeter if that in the rear, between the top of the IC and the air duct. I think now I realize why CS stayed with a slightly narrower core design, so that more air could actually flow through to it. Cooling vs flow i guess. But that's a whole nother discussion that's probably been beaten to death already.

All in all the ETS is really nice and if you've got the cash i would have probably gotten it too.
Well its hard to say. From a performance perspective they are probably pretty close though I have not seen any hard numbers. Even the thread you sited does not have graphs comparing the 2. What I can say is the ETS quality is way better. The welds are perfect. The intercooler core is much cleaner and more uniformly made. The end tanks are lighter. There is no fairy dust.

I think it comes down to how you look at things. In my mind its front and center in the engine bay and would drive me crazy if it looked like ass.

I hear you. Hey we like what we like, that's cool. i don't really care a lot what it looks like under the hood (as long as it doesn't look like shit), but if i could have looked at them all closely in person beforehand and saw the quality differences, I likely wouldn't have chosen the CPE, but it was also the cheapest by far on sale, so I can't be too disappointed. I actually kind of wanted to give my locals at Corksport the business but with local tax and the extra $60 for the more effective shroud that I'd want, it would have cost over $150 more.
And actually i see now i was wrong about my comment on the CS timc - all three (cpe, ets, cs) have a 3.25" core. for some reason I thought the CS was 3.0in, oh well.

Post up some pics of the ETS! i'd like to see the differences.

Actually the corksport is 3" not 3.25"

Here are the pics

how does that cold pipe flange look? curious how clean the opening is.

the CS page specifically says 3.25 ... i could have swore it used to be 3.0 too.

pasted from Mazdaspeed 3 TMIC CORKSPORT Top Mount Intercooler 6 MS6 CX7
"More Capacity: With 3.25" of thickness, the extra capacity allows significant cooling capabilities. "

I have not pulled it out yet. Later when I do I will be sure to take shots.

Now on the corksport page its a little confusing as in one section on that same page they write "Made from CorkSport’s own custom cast end tanks which are TIG welded to a 3” thick bar and plate core". While later they write "More Capacity: With 3.25" of thickness, the extra capacity allows significant cooling capabilities." So I am not sure which it is but I will say I have always heard it was 3" to allow for using the OEM shroud.

It's pretty clean and smooth.
