EBC green front brake review

I am sure a lot of guys are familiar with EBC pads and there are some that are not.

This past weekend was the perfect weekend to test out these pads since a large group of us went to the tail of the dragon in deals gap nc. For those that are not familiar with the dragon, it is 11 miles of 360 turns so this was a perfect place to test them out.

The main reason I went with the greens is I still wanted good street able pad that would not be harsh on my rotors for a daily driving vehicle, but would still give me a great bite before hitting the turns at the dragon and not fading.

Now for the good part. These brakes did great, I mean they held up to everything I threw at them. We went out on one stretch of road that is easy to hit 100 mph constantly before going into turns and avg speeds of 50-60 mph going through the turns, and these pads slowed the car down very smooth and was not violent nor did I have brake fade one bit, no matter how hot these pads got they slowed the car down with no problem.

As far as for the dragon where you are constantly heel toeing from the gas pedal to the brake pedal these pads did great again with no signs of brake fade at all through both 11 mile trips, nor did I ever get any noise from the pads from them either from going through some severe heat cycles from being really hot the point where you could smell brakes to where we got done with a run we sat for a good 30 min or so talking and head back to the cabins and never had signs of noise from the pads.

Only thing I wish I did when I did this was upgraded my brake lines with stainless lines.

So I highly suggest these pads if you are still wanting a great street pad but if you want to go on a spirited run these pads will do good.

The yellows I feel like will be more suited for those that do a lot of aggressive driving or go to track days and red is good a mixture of both imo.

So if you are in the need for some pads and do not want to pay the outrageous price at the dealership for the stock pads I mean I am a master tech for mazda and I get a discount and I still would not get the stock pads over the ebc. Thanks for the review. Brake parts are on my list of things to add to the site. I'll get these EBC pads on there ASAP. However, I think you have the Redstuff and Yellowstuff backwards, as the Yellowstuff are the race pads.
