Revolution Performance Motorsports Revolution Performance Manufacturing (RPM) was started by three Mazda 6 enthusiasts in early 2004 under a simple premise: to develop and manufacture new products for the Mazda 6 at an affordable price. We began to realize our purpose with the short throw shifter and gas hood lifter kits for that vehicle. Since then, we have added many new aftermarket products from well-known manufacturers and continue to expand to offer products for other vehicles with the goal of having the best prices and customer service on the 'net.

Unfortunately, not.

Ground Control is really pissing me off at this point. Now they're out of springs again and due to a backorder, they won't have more until the end of the week at the earliest. When the parts came in, they didn't set them aside for our orders. They just kept using them for other customers, so they keep running out of stuff. It's really, really frustrating. They even had one of our Focus ST kits ready to go out the door WITH A LABEL ON IT on Tuesday, and the "boss" James, stole the springs out of that kit and shipped them to another customer. I was livid when I found out about that. I've had choice words with everyone over there, but at this point, there's nothing I can do but wait and hope that as soon as the springs come in, everything else will ship.

I apologize for how long this has taken. If I had known it would take this long when this thing started, I definitely would have let everyone know. I've never had a group buy drag out like this before.

There are a total of 10 kits left, including the Focus ST kit that they stole the springs from. I totally agree. It's so frustrating! I couldn't believe it when they told me that!

that's crazy. you'd figure that someone who ordered 20 kits would get better service.

Well see... this is ridiculous dude. I mean, goddamnit. You're gonna take parts out of another kit that is ready to go, with a label on the box?! That's down right shitty in my book. If I want to get camber plates, and the c ones will work on this setup, then I'll go with them.

serious 10 kits it's been 2 months almost, real solid production line, pretty quick to play the blame game sounds like not impressed

This is absolute crazy. They have terrible order handling if that is the case or they are figuring the profit is greater on everyone else who orders from there site therefore putting us last. They knew for awhile what the order potential was and should have had everything for those kits put aside.

The least they could do is throw in free stuff and a discount on our next purchase....

The "boss" was the jerk who took the springs out of the ready-to-go kit, so I highly doubt he's going to do anyone any favors. But, if they'll give me a good deal on the camber plates (if they ever make them), I'll pass the savings along. No group buy, either. I'll just buy some and give everyone who was in this GB some extra savings.

On another good note, one the the Focus guys did a great write-up on these. The shocks are a different part number, but the install is pretty much the same, so it might help someone here.

You could, as we would never want to hold your money hostage or force you to stick with a product if you were unhappy for any reason, but doing so would affect us, too. That said, it's completely up to you. Just let us know.

That's a really shitty position that GC has put you guys in and I hope no one does ask for a refund, but at this point I would be shocked if someone didn't. GC has dropped the ball majorly on this.

You guys have been doing a great job letting us know what's going on and giving them a super hard time, so for that thanks a bunch obviously they are a pain to work with so cheers and hopefully there is no more bullshit and the next 10 kits ship out promptly

I gotta say, as someone who owned his own business years ago, that your customer service is top notch. No business owner should be judged on the bad stuff that happens, but the decisions and actions to make the bad stuff right, and you sir are definitely top notch.

If nothing else, your honest communication has been amazing, definitely top in your class! Goes a long way to satisfy the worries of customers in this group buy.

Love doing business with people like you, so thank you.

I do want to say that GC, while they are taking their sweet time, and making bad decisions, are probably getting squeezed from this GB. I can imagine that when they said they would modify the shocks themselves, they underestimated the work involved, and now their profits are gone or actually loosing money on this. It make sense since they are taking kits apart to fulfill orders from full price paying customers (like the story about the Focus ST kit getting stripped).

Of course they need fulfill their orders and do it soon, but at least they are doing it, albeit slow and steady.

And one last shout out, the people in this GB have been amazing too. The codial attitude during these supply issues has been refreshing. Well done MSF.org community.

I'm running -3* of camber in the front using CS camber plates with my GC/Koni setup without any issues. The camber plates are beautiful pieces and very high quality, I'd recommend them to anyone who wants adjustable camber in the front. The only problem about using them with the Koni shocks is the way you tighten the top nut onto the shock. With the pillowball nut from the camber plates you can't access the nut on the shock shaft to stop it from spinning, but I tightened it with a couple 1-2 second blips with an impact and it's been completely fine.

I've seen this sort of thing a couple times before with group buys from Massdrop. Bottom line is, if you want to save money by going in on a group buy, you have to be ready to deal with things like this.

Not gonna cancel my order or some emo shit like that, woulda been nice though to have these boing-boings for auto-x this Sunday

I really do not want to refund, I do agree RPM has done a great job of communicating to us. I have another event this weekend so I can wait a bit. Sucks GC is pulling this.

But how else do we tell GC they fucked up!

First group buy so I expected a 3 week delay but this is out of hand, IMO.

I am not sure if they will be at SEMA this year, but if they are and I do end up going I'm going to give them hell.

Thats what I did. Im good on GC. Fuck em. But Im still going to be buying coilovers (and probably a few other things) from RPM. There is no reason to punish them for all this.

Fedex arrived this morning as I was leaving for my office. Got to say ground control did a hell of a job packaging the suspension. I'm glad they did because my box was destroyed by fedex.

Looks like I got 525 fronts and 600 rears. Everything looks like excellent quality stuff. Ground Control did a great job with the perch removal. Now I have to find time to get these installed.

I know spanner wrenches were no suppose to be included but if Ground Control is offering @RPM; I would mind a set sent to me. If they can't no worries.

So ALL 10 kits will ship Monday? If this happens I will be very very happy! To make it easier just have them ship mine with the wrenches. Now to just find someone who will roll my fenders so I don't butcher my autox wheels/tires! woo!

Hey @RPM;

I think there is a problem with my order. Rear springs are 250lbs ( GC200.64.44) and 550lbs ( GC165.64.96 ) front. Me thinks that is a bit off, since I ordered the stock shock DD setup. I need the fronts in 230lbs or abouts.

For those that can't figure out their spring rates just look at GC's site. Ground Control Suspension Systems - Springs

If the number starts with GC then it's a GC spec spring.
