Revolution Performance Motorsports Revolution Performance Manufacturing (RPM) was started by three Mazda 6 enthusiasts in early 2004 under a simple premise: to develop and manufacture new products for the Mazda 6 at an affordable price. We began to realize our purpose with the short throw shifter and gas hood lifter kits for that vehicle. Since then, we have added many new aftermarket products from well-known manufacturers and continue to expand to offer products for other vehicles with the goal of having the best prices and customer service on the 'net.

This will not work with Bilsteins. Only stock shocks and Konis.

Might work with the Corksports adjustables as well, last I'd read they were the same dimensions.

That's true. Theoretically, it should work with anything that's the same dimensions and shock travel as stock. The Bilsteins are not, so they won't work, but it's possible that other brands may work. I'm just not sure if they've been tested, or not.

Talked to GC. They're still waiting to hear back from KONI regarding the warranty stuff, availability and such. They were hoping to hear back today, but the guy they need to talk to has been out for most of the day. If he does get back with them today, they'll forward the information along to me. If not, we'll try again tomorrow!

I apologize for the delays, but we want to be 100% clear on the warranty, perches, bump stops, etc., before we give an update and get this thing going. The last thing we want to do is mislead anyone. We're VERY pleased with the response, so far, though. I have a feeling that this will be quite a successful GB!

Quick question - can the konis be adjusted whilst still on the car, I'm sure I read somewhere that they couldn't.

The only difference between your konis and the ones in the picture is that they just have the lower spring seat removed from the strut.

Okay, so this is what we have so far.

1) GC can sell us a kit that will work *WITH* the perches. You lose 1/4"-3/8" of possible drop in the front, but otherwise, the kit is exactly the same. This might be a good option for those who already have KONIs and don't want to cut them.

2) If GC cuts the perches, they will honor the warranty. If the user cuts the perches, they should still be covered, but if there was a warranty claim and KONI suspected that there was damage due to the cut, the warranty could be denied.

3) The prices we have quoted thus far do not include cutting or bump stops. We're currently in negotiation with GC for them to provide both the cutting and the bump stops so that this will be a complete kit and so that there will be no questions regarding the warranty. We're not sure how much (if any) this will affect the prices. We're hoping it won't affect them at all.

Unfortunately, we won't have an update on (4) until Monday, but stick with us! Our goal is to provide a complete kit with a full warranty for the best price possible!

So it sounds like Koni only cares about the inner cartridge and not the perch. Good news.

I also like the news that they could make the collar fit WITH the perch. This would make it easier if and when I have to warranty my shocks again. Gives me the option of doing advance replacement again.

oooooo this is getting sexier and sexier.

Awesome work @RPM; interested in the kit that will work with the perches intact. I don't mind losing some drop I wasn't planning on dropping much anyway. Any pictures of what those will looks like?

I'll adjust to my wanting level to 95%

edit

found a pic online with what it will most likely look like.

EDIT by RPM: Picture removed to avoid confusion. Actual picture of kit is 6 posts above in a picture posted by Bap.

Yea. That's how they were originally released a few months back. It's one of the reasons I haven't bought them yet. I already have 32k on my yellows and they were warrantied once already. Granted the original ones I had before were the MZ3 version since the MS3 version didn't exist.

Thanks for letting us know.

For what it's worth, I looked into those, as well as a few other low cost coilover kits and they offer very little info in terms of what is actually adjustable (rebound/compression) and I can't find any shock dyno charts at all. As such, I am confident that the KONI Sports are a superior damper.

The update you've all been waiting for!

We had to add $40 to each of the full kits, but they now include:
  • Ground Control bump stops
  • Perches cut by Ground Control
  • KONI shocks rebound pre-set to match springs
  • Full warranty on all parts through Ground Control, including modified KONIs

Technically, we can still honor the old pricing if you don't want any of the above, but we believe that all of the above is easily worth $40. Heck, just the bump stops would cost you nearly that much!

The original post has been updated. We just need 5 more to reach the 20+ pricing and we still have 2 weeks left! Getting to 40+ is probably a bit of a stretch, but I figured I'd go ahead and include it anyways, just in case. It would be a nice surprise!

GC bump stops $12 each, $7 for the grinding blades, $3 for spray paint, not having the head ache of having to cut off the spring perches for a few dollar savings. Nice job with the group buy that is a good deal.

Wow @RPM; seriously great job putting this all together. These prices are great.

For those who don't want to do the math at the current pricing you're saving $108.05 on the shocks and coils alone that doesn't even include bump stops and perch removal.

I'm 100% buying.

@RPM; You had mentioned they could provide just the GC kit that is the correct length so cutting the perches is not needed. Is this still an option?
