Revolution Performance Motorsports Revolution Performance Manufacturing (RPM) was started by three Mazda 6 enthusiasts in early 2004 under a simple premise: to develop and manufacture new products for the Mazda 6 at an affordable price. We began to realize our purpose with the short throw shifter and gas hood lifter kits for that vehicle. Since then, we have added many new aftermarket products from well-known manufacturers and continue to expand to offer products for other vehicles with the goal of having the best prices and customer service on the 'net.

I had a TWM STS on for about 15k miles and took it off for warranty work and didn't put it back on because the stock shifter feels better IMO. I still have the bushings though.

what kind of warranty work? mine has only been in for 2 days, but feels sooooo much better/crisper than stock. what kind of problems were you having with yours?

My 3rd gear was fucked (grinding, etc). I thought the same thing about the TWM for a while until I put the stock shifter back on. I thought It would help with mis shifts but it didn't, its just really stiff and not all that short and looks like a short cock. I sold mine for $100.00 bucks I think. I do like the bushings though!

a heavier shift knob will benefit the feel of a STS.

did you ever try a different Trans fluid to smooth out the shifts?

Amsoil for the Transmission and Amsoil for the Motor but it wasn't an issue with "smooth shifting" per say. I just prefer the stock shifter because there isn't as much resistance, it’s taller and more comfortable to shift, it looks a lot better IMO and I just couldn't justify putting the TWM back on.

install went pretty good.
i have it on the farthest hole for the shortest shifts, 30% reduction.
its pretty good....$275 good? maybe.
i also have the shaft at its lowest position; i think i might raise it up.

only drawback is that the shifter is hitting the console a little in 5th and 6th gear.
maybe raising the shaft up a little will help with that.

props to RPM for the super fast shipping.
handling on the other hand, it could have used more packing material. no biggy. it made it just fine, plus i dont think you could damage this heavy piece of iron.
