Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, Installed the bnrs2 today. The coolant line it comes with needs to be heated and bent a bit to make it work. There is no way it will clear the compressor housing the way it comes. Another thing, one of the studs you sent me had threads that were not completely cut. May want to check on that. We had to chase the thread to make it useable. Other than that, suggest to Bryan to throw in some new nuts and make this thing a complete kit. Oh, and toss out that paper gasket for the oil return. I do wish I got the s3 now that I realize how easy it is to get the jbr silicone intake over the compressor mouth...oh well |

Darn. That sucks, but it is what it is haha. It's my 21st so I went all out with the turbo |
Yeah, sorry... Nice move, though! |
@RPM; The bnrs2 I got from you guys still leaves oil in my intercooler couplers. Is this normal? When I removed the coupler bolted to the compressor outless the other day it had residue inside it and then checking the coupler at the throttle body there was a small puddle in it. |
Uhm no that's not normal. Are you positive it is from the BNR and not left over residue in the intercooler from a blown ko4? Are burning oil at all? |
Postive. We cleaned out everything before reinstalling and the oil residue can be seen down inside the compressor housing too. On that note, when I had it freshly installed I was throwing down almost 310whp peak and now I can't seem to get above 270ish peak. It is back to where the k04 was power wise. I hope I didn't get a dud :/ I don't have time to remove it and ship it out etc... |
Have you checked for shaft play? |
This isn't really the correct thread for this discussion. Normally, I'd say to check your PCV system, but it seems you have an OCC, which should alleviate that issue, so I'd recommend checking the OCC. If that's working fine and you believe there is an issue with the turbo, you'll need to contact BNR and unfortunately, you probably would need to send it in to them if it is indeed the issue. |
However, this is the correct thread for my next question, what's the status on the s4 backorder? Any time soon or is it up in the air at this point? |

So I was dumb yesterday. Ordered the Snow Performance Stage 2 VC-50 Meth Kit from you guys (not the dumb part), and completely forgot about the tax sale code (the dumb part). Any way I could get that applied to the order please? |
