Just an FYI regarding the Helpfile... Under "Boost Dynamics" Boost Error is defined incorrectly imo. Here is what the Helpfile says regarding the Boost Dynamics Table:

Boost Dynamics
Table Description - The Boost Dynamics table is used as a feedback control system to correct for errors in the desired Boost Target versus the Actual Boost measured in the inlet manifold. The feedback control method used is known as a Proportional-Integral controller.

Boost Error = (Desired Boost Target) - (Actual Boost)

This table represents a compensation (correction) necessary to counteract the Boost error that has occurred. The table is referenced by Boost Error (represented in mm Hg) on the x-axis. Table values are the percentage change made to the Wastegate Duty Cycle value. Tuning Tips - This table can be used to refine boost control characteristics for under and over boost conditions.

It should read: Boost Error = (Actual Boost) - (Desired Boost Target)

Here's a screen shot of the Boost Dynamics Table:

A quick example will make this clear. Say I'm over-boosting and my target PSI is 18, but I'm hitting 21. According to the HELPFILE:

Boost Error = Desired Boost (18 PSI) - Actual Boost (21) = -3 for Boost Error. Now look back at the table in ATR. For a -3 Boost Error, the Boost Dynamics Table is calling for an INCREASE in wgdc of 5% (+.05). Increasing the wgdc will increase boost.... you def don't want that when you're already over-boosting!

Now look at the same example w/ my (and others) definition
:

Boost Error = Actual Boost (21 PSI) - Desired Boost Target (18) = +3 Boost Error.

Looking back at the table in ATR, this makes a lot more sense. With a boost error of +3, the Boost Dynamics table is calling for a 10% DECREASE (-.10) in wgdc, which will lower boost, which is what you want here.

I know this is old news for most, but some may find this confusing as I did when I first came upon it. In a nutshell, when you're over-boosting, wdgc should be decreased and vice-versa. I'm pretty sure the table is set up correctly, but the definition of Boost Error is 'backwards' as I explained.

Also, ignore my post #3. What I said was correct, but I emailed Christian about it, and the helpfile has been corrected w/ the new release of ATR yesterday .
