Cobb TIP vs Corksport TIP

So I ended up with 2 TIP's since I bought several groups of used parts.

Corksport TIP --- Cobb TIP

Neither are installed as I need to do hpfp before installing a bunch of stuff I have waiting.

I have an uninstalled Corksport intake, thinking I should pair CS parts with CS parts.

But if the Cobb TIP and CS intake work together better for some reason I'll do that since I'll have both?

Y'alls thoughts?

Sometimes similar brand parts match up better. Years ago I bought a corksport tip and it only worked with the corksport intake, which I did not have...they have since made their parts more universal though I believe.

As long as they match up together though, it doesnt really matter what brand you use. For intake purposes wider is better though

Sell both and buy a 3" or bigger intake.

If you don't want to do that, use the Cobb it is silicone and gives you 167 more horsepower than the metal CS one.

You know due to heat and what not.

Topic has been beat to death, then resurrected, just to be beat to death again, hence 167 more horsepower.

All factory sized intakes, really just come down to brand preference. They fit/function basically the same.

Okay I ended up mating the Cobb TIP to Corksport Intake. They fit fine together and work as expected.

I'm getting the Corksport TIP 24k gold plated for better electrical conductivity, should provide more horsetorques

Copper mesh inside the tube purifies the air for more torquepowers. Exhaust will smell great too.

Ebays for da win! unless you like spending money, at the end of the day it is just a pipe. shoot, some home depot fabulous PVC would probably work just as well.

Are u looking to sell the other TIP? Do the Speed6 and speed3 share the same TIP?

Intakes are the same between MS3/6

Different mounting locations (mounts holding up intake) between 6 and 3 though depending on intake brand.

If it's fits I'm certainly interested, bought a 07 Speed6 a few weeks ago and looking to start modifying it. Wanna do a intake, TIP, HPFP, and Cobb APV3 all in one shot. If I'm not mistaken the TIP dosent have any mounting brackets it's just the intake itself correct?

CS part number for the TIP is the same for 3, 6, and CX7.

Update: I now have a CP-E turbo inlet pipe which appears to be bigger than the Cobb

Maybe I'll do a side-by-side of my turbo inlet pipes to comparison

It doesn't matter what one you use, unless you have an actual tune on there, you aren't gaining anything.

I buy and sell parts. Many times I will offer to buy out all parts they're selling as a package deal and then I sell what I don't need.

What makes this thread dumb? It's a legitimate question. Why wouldn't it be possible for 2 parts made by 2 different companies give different results. that happens all the time.
