Default XS Power K04 option

Have any of you ever heard of this brand turbo, XS Power? I did a search but yielded nothing on here. Not too expensive.

XS Power has been around for a while. They developed an exhaust manifold for our platform that evolved over 3 revisions. Its now the V3.

The turbo they offer is a rebuilt OEM with their billet wheel and supposed upgraded bearings and seals. Seems legit but never heard of anyone buying one. I'd save up for at least a BNR S3. Around $400 more or a little less if you find one used in good condition.

Trust me, I’ve been back and forth over the bigger-performance turbo over the stock setup but my car is bone-stock in every way. It bugs the heck out of me to know I could go with a larger and better flowing unit which has a minimal cost difference over the stock set-up but my engine has 122k on it-albeit with good compression, clean plugs, system and all, but the other components would need to be upgraded to match the larger turbo which would really jack up the cost. I have to say, the maintenance over the years since new has been minimal and very standard-oil changes every 3500-4000 miles, front brakes only once, air filter, and 1.5 sets of tires (rotation every 25-30k). Either way, I’m going to upgrade the fuel pump, have to fix/change the TIP, new plugs (maybe Denzos), and thinking of eliminating the stock air filter box and change to a K&N conical-style filter. I have been going back and fourth with K04 replacements or CHRA replace as the housings-both hot and cold side, look good. I read the write-up about the Rotomaster CHRA on this site but never heard any more data since the authir had a “chirping issue” to diagnose. It was not clear whether this was due to the CHRA or something else although the write-up seemed to point away from the turbo.

The BNR turbos are mostly bolt-on. I think the only things you'd have to upgrade is the intake and fuel pump internals......and a tune.
