(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score What tuner do you all recommend I go to for my BNR S3 and E30 tune? Mods list first: Corksport HPFP Corksport SRI Corksport Stage II TIP C-PE Gen 2 TMIC GFB TMS Respons BPV (50/50) Speed Perf6rmanc3 SP63 3-port BCS Bosch 3bar MAP 3” Stainless Steel Catless DP 3” Stainless Steel Straight Pipe BNR S3 BT Corksport Stage II RMM I want to get as much power as I can without sacrificing the integrity of the stock block. I do not plan on rebuilding hence the S3 instead of the pricier S4. To reach MBT I want to do an E30 mix, seems a lot less expensive than buying a WMI kit and a lot safer, if I mix correctly. I currently have a Stratified OTS tune flashed to the car, I am upgrading the turbo this weekend since my K04 blew the hot side oil seals. The boost target was 21 PSI, and the car did haul ass. I mainly chose Stratified because of the things I heard about them and because they offer a crackle tune. But my experience was meh, took them a long time to respond to my emails and the throttle would be a bit weird sometimes. I am looking at Purple Drank right now, they seem to have the fastest customer service and I really like how they keep the low end torque at bay. But I want to hear your guys’ experiences, and what company you think I should have my car tuned with. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Asking which tuner is better is like asking which sport team is the best...at each is own. For Stratified, keep in mind they may not give the same support for a full custom tune than a low cost ots tune but they seem to know what they do. Don't expect to use the car with your actual tune once you get the parts installed. You need a revised base tune before making the first ride..... For best results, a larger intake and TIP with a BT may not be a bad idea... IMO i like W/M and if you would use it just as a safety to cool down BAT it works. It is when you make an agressive tune for it or use it as a low cost fuel adder that things may go wrong. Peoples get the cheapest kit even if it is for a critical purpose so yes it fail. But you can get an HFS4 and ANL connections for peace of mind.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I would suggest hiring a reputable tuner that both supports our platform and is a Cobb certified pro tuner. Despite what many think, a good tuner isn't a magician and doesn't make extra power. They simply tune the car to make as much power as it safely can. (Think of it like torque specs on a bolt. Sure, you can always push it further, and it may seem stronger, but you're compromising the integrity and it can break easier.) So, if you compare one *good* tune vs another it shouldn't have much difference in performance. If it does, either you or the tuner did something wrong. |
