(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I believe the CorkSport stage 2 SRI/TIP combo is the stock intake size? But I’m not positive. 2010 MS3 // CS TIP - CS SRI - CS BOOST TUBES - CS MZR BPV - CS HPFP - COBB AP |

| Not Ranked : 0 score You can use Stage 1 + SF without needing a tune, but of course getting one will always be better than OTS maps. Technically, there is a slight difference in the MAF diameter, but it's so small it won't make a difference that requires a MAF cal. |

I appreciate the reply. It’s kinda concerning to try it because COBBS website says if it ain’t exact it can cause potential engine damage? ![]() 2010 MS3 // CS TIP - CS SRI - CS BOOST TUBES - CS MZR BPV - COBB AP

It’s literally half a millimeter difference. It says right on the instruction manual from Corksport that you don’t need to tune. Now if it was half an inch difference yea, you’d need a tune for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know it says you don’t need a tune with the stage 2 intake and that’s because it’s the size of the stock intake with the same maf calibration as the stock intake, but taking the CS intake and putting that with a map designed for a completely different intake is the “issue”, that changes things right? And I by no means am saying your wrong, but do you have documentation on it only being half a millimeter off? ![]() 2010 MS3 // CS TIP - CS SRI - CS BOOST TUBES - CS MZR BPV - CS HPFP - COBB AP

| Not Ranked : 0 score RTFM. Stock MAF is 67mm. Corksport is 67mm. Cobb SRI is 67.5mm. Cobb maps are basic AF and if anything, you’re gonna run a tiny bit rich, which is perfectly fine. Running LEAN on the other hand is not fine, and why you need a tune with larger intakes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Running a larger intake than what you're tuned for will run lean. It's measuring less air than what you're actually getting and therefore putting in the correct amount of fuel for the wrong amount of air. However, a 1/2 mm. Meh. Stock tune is stupid rich anyways. You might be doing yourself a favor.

His MAF will be a half a millimeter smaller. The Cobb tune is for 67.5mm. His Corksport is 67mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

| Not Ranked : 0 score Are you measuring ID or OD? I had in mind the stock was 64,x mm ID I won't debate about half a mm but you need to keep in mind it is the square value of the difference...And it doesn't just affect AFR in open loop but also all the tables using load including ignition timing. Less load read = more agressive timing. At the end, you can take a look to your STFT and LTFT after a 2-300 miles after using the map and see if it remain in a +/-8-10%... Not 100% sure if there isn't other options but if you need a maf cal and you didn't follow the cobb class you would need a personal tune from an etuner to correct it.
