I saw that too but that doesn't sound right. 7 inches in height to remove the crash bar??

I was wondering which cores the JBR piping kit will fit and how to tell if it will. Or is it even beneficial to piece a kit together as opposed to buying a full setup? Also, with the treadstone TR8, does anyone know how strong their crash bar replacement is?

A lot of people here that use the JBR piping kit use it with a TR6 and TR8. That's what I'm gonna piece together along with the brackets

I was thinking of the TR8 because of eventually going BT. But I'm kinda worried about their crash bar modification. I dont want to die if I get in a wreck. haha. And not to change the subject, but i noticed you run a catted DP with Res and muffler delete. how do you like that? My CS catted DP should be going in next week and was thinking of what to do behind it.

Yea I'm just going to get the tr6 since it'll be a while until I go BT... I mean I don't mind it. If you don't like highway drone then don't get both cut off. It just depends on the owner. Just see how you like the catted dp with the oem cbe. If too quiet then get the res delete or muffler delete. If still quiet, get both off

i have the TR825. its the length of the tr8L but meant for high boost like the tr8.
fills in the gaps that the tr8 gives the gen1's in the front.
had a buddy that works at treadstone make it for me. told him my needs/wants/and goals. he said he had something just for me. isnt in their website. call or email and they'll hook you up.

How should I adapt the 80mm DP flange to the stock CBE size?

This is an intercooler thread not an exhaust thread.

However read facts about the dp youre looking at on the product website it will tell you if it fits or not in the stock cbe and should come with the hardware

Same mounting points. Yours probably does not have a shroud (their fix for it hitting the firewall was to not re-design the shroud like others, they just did not include it) but Gen 1 did. Will it hurt? Dunno. Not my car, and fuck Street Unit.

Maybe I missed it, but I wanted to make a comment on FMIC vs TMIC and the intended purpose. I chose a TMIC since I do not sit in traffic much and did not want to restrict the cooling capacity of the radiator.

I recently met a gen2 owner that had blown his motor do to overheating. After a rebuild, he was still overheating. He was tracking his car at altitude. I live at 7200 ft and cooling is a much bigger issue with altitude densities hitting well over 10Kft and little water in the air for heat capacity. I asked him what his mods were and he had Stage3 w/FMIC. I said "that's the problem". The FMIC is heating much of the air getting to the water radiator and leading to overheating.

The moral of the story is make sure you understand what conditions you will be running in and choose appropriately.

Default anyone heard of or use this?

I didn't see this treadstone TMIC in this article: Treadstone Performance mazdaspeed 3 Turbo Top Mount Intercooler Core CMS675 | eBay. I searched and didn't see another thread on this; if I missed it I'm sorry. Thoughts? Can you use the stock inlet and outlet and use this core?
