| Not Ranked : 0 score I am in a similar situation where my wife rides in my car a lot and drives it for fun once in a while but I plan on getting the CP-E 60 duro. The corksport inserts I have heard (don't know if it's true or not) after a while they need to be replaced so you might as well get a mount.

MAZDA3 Engine Mount and Solid Shifter Spacers The 60 may be OK. Street Unit RMM and CP-E RMM both show that they're out of stock, lol, so I guess I won't be getting any of them right just now.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Hey man, honestly, I've got trz mounts, vibrations are definitely noticeable for the first couple weeks, but go away (or else you just get used to them - don't really know which) by 1,000 miles.

If you end up going CP-E for the mount and wait for it to be in stock, JBarone shifter bushings fit for sure on the 2nd gen: JBarone 2nd Gen Shifter Bushings

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I've been trying to read as much as possible on the TRZ, and most people are saying that it gets better, but doesn't go away. I also read that you can put epoxy around the bushing on the TRZ, and it will almost completely stop vibrations. Any word on this? Sorry that I'm jumping all over the place in my questioning, I'm researching this as I'm posting.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score From reading reviews and write ups, I've decided that I'll go with the CP-E rmm and JB shifter bushings. The main reason is that the more that I looked at them, the CP-E is completely redesigned, where as the SU version is based on the stock one, which is obviously flawed to begin with. I can't find any concrete info on the vibration issue being resolved on the TRZ, so CP-E just seems like the best option. When I do the exhaust later, I'll do the SU side motor mounts at the same time. That way I can tell my wife that the vibration is from the exhaust, because she wants exhaust. ![]() I don't want power wiggling around in my engine bay when is supposed to be going down to the road.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Honestly, if vibrations are that much of a concern, I'd reccomend you at least try the Corksport inserts. Predapio has a set, unused, for $25 shipped. If it doesn't hold up after a long while, then at least it was only $25. Besides, even if it does wear out, isn't half of the fun getting to work on your car? From what I understand, there is no increased vibes from them at all, and it's a VERY cheap way to play it safe and see for yourself. What is a lot for one person may be nothing for another person. Good luck either way. *EDIT: I was too slow on the post. My bad.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Can't really have stiffness without sacrifice. Anyone will tell you that. If you want a softer ride, rubber is the best way; if you want performance/stiffness in your ride, you will need poly/delrin, which transfers vibrations more. I went with TRZ's RMM, poly for street, so I'll see soon enough whether or not it's going to drive me nuts. If so, I'll sell it and get the CP-E one. But either way, anything poly/delrin is going to transmit more vibration for the performance gain. Congrats on your purchase, though, and let us know your impressions when you install.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have to say I have the CS RMM inserts on order, and will hopefully see them next week. I'm going to give them a shot, and see how they work. If they do happen to wear out after a while, then I'll go with one of the more robust mount solutions. BTW, I just realized after reading another thread that I've experienced the engine banging issue with the stock mount. I was accelerating up a hill and shifted from 1st to 2nd. When I let out the clutch and hit the gas in 2nd, I heard this loud "BANG" come from the front of the car. I thought I had blown a tire, broken a tie-rod end, or hit a big rock. Pulled over to the side of the road and looked under the car, but couldn't see anything. Scared the living sh*t out of me! I certainly don't want that to happen again! |

I know what you mean when I was on bone stock mounts my engin used to slap back so hard going from 1st to 2nd at wot and then I tryed a street unit rear mount with the street bushing wich is a 62d thinking oh I don't want the vibes and wanted to pussy foot it but guess what it still did it! All I can say is this motor needs help and if you plan on doing anything at all to increase hp or just like driveing hard motor mounts should be your first mod. I made the mistake of going to the track with stock mounts and I had just added my catback, intake and bov. Big mistake I had to run with traction control on the whole night because my first run I had it off and got wheel hop so bad Im lucky i didn't break anything and It through my alingment off abit I ran like a 14.7 on that run coasting through the finish line cause I was so pissed I let off and the rest of the night all I ran was 15s needless to say I hated my car after that and am still embarased to go back. So unless you dont drive the car hard at all man up and get some good stiff motor mounts, I now have the Trz dog bone rear, trz tranz mount both are poly and also stock passanger mount with a weapon r torq damper the vibes are pretty healthy but you would be amazed at what all that torq can do on the road.

BTW, does anyone know if the CP-E mount duro ratings are on the ASTM D2240 type A or type D scales? I would think type A, which would put the 75 duro mount at the same stiffness as a soft skateboard wheel. If it were on the D scale, it would have the same stiffness as a hardhat, which would not give any dampening at all. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score The Cpe mount comes in eather a 60duro or 75duro My old street unit mount was 62duro and it made a nice change and barely any vibes at all only when I first put it in could you realy tell and only at idle or when clutching from a stop, I could spin the tires in second gear from a roll with the street unit mount but like I said befor it wasn't enough for me. sence I have the trz rear mount in 70duro I think you may not like the 75duro cpe mount it will deff vibe pretty good but the 60 will make a good improvement over stock and still ride nice.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Dude, I just put in the 75 Duro, and I don't think you really need to worry about vibes. They were really strong and noticeable when I first put them in, but now that it's broken in a bit I get next to nothing. The only time I can really tell is when I'm idling with the A/C on and they haven't been in for 1,000 miles yet. You'll be really happy with the 75 duro, just make sure you do a really good job putting them in and get those bolts back in TIGHT!

| Not Ranked : 0 score So, since I already had the CS inserts, I went ahead and installed them today while I had the MS3 on my buddy's lift to change the oil. Installation was a snap, though it's a pretty snug fit for the upper left bolt into the tranny. Initial impression driving home is that vibration increase is minimal to imperceptible. Shifting felt nice and solid. I figure I'll try these for a while, and if thing start to get sloppy again, then go for the CP-E mount. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score cpe is a good mount and the new Su mount is like an exact copey but I think I heard about some fitment issues with that one. I had the old Su mount it was good but the street bushing was to soft, I should of grabbed the 90 instead but I wen't with the trz dogbone and tranz mount package from Pg for $180 seemed like enough reason for me to go with trz over the other brands.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I changed my mind and got the CP-E 75. I'm very happy with it, I wish it was even more stiff than it is actually. I'm going to pick up the SU side MMs, and hopefully, it will be where I want it at that point.

Don't get the Su side mounts I had them and after seeing the welds on the tranz mount I returned them right away. A few people have also had that mount break and drop there engin on the road so....... The stock tranz mount is worse than the passanger side mount and changeing out the tranz mount will also make a big improvement over stock you will deff get some vibes though but look at the TRZ trans mount from Protegegarage.com if you havn't allready.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Let me be the first to tell you, the vibes go away after 100-200 miles of driving, they are quite seriously non existent. I have the CPE 60, i wish i got the 75. Get the 60, tell the wife to give it time and make sure she knows how beneficial it is for the car. You will NOT regret it, get the 60 if you're too worried, but seriously... my car = no vibes.. and i miss the vibes tbh.

| Not Ranked : 0 score CP-E is the way to go. I went with the 60 duro as I often have my wife and kids in my car. Does it job perfect and not much n/v/h over stock imo. Very quality product. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I installed the 75 at a little over 2K miles, and by 3K miles, I don't even notice the vibration anymore. I think it's a combonation of the bushing getting broken in and just getting used to it.
