Default 326/348 on "e42.5" mix, K04

Very pleased with the results. AFR is off, apparently the OBX TBE doesn't flow as much to the passenger side exit, hence the AFR of 15 most of the way through. Checked the log and they were fine.
This "winter" (Florida and winter should never be in the same sentence) will be time to build the motor, and come spring/summer it will be BT time.

This is not true - the chemical intercooling effects will recover some lost efficiency of the turbo and will provide further gains.

Much was the key term in there. Cost-benefit analysis needs to be done, and I am willing to bet that for most people choosing to stay on a stock turbo, several hundred more dollars to complicate the setup for a less than 5% gain would choose not to do it.

Dropping BATs when you live somewhere like california or florida will likely make a solid difference. Huge? No, but it'll also help when he goes big turbo.

To me it's all about having more and more.... I'm still on the stock turbo. Added the usual - down pipe, race pipe, intake, ... that all led to EGR delete, manifold porting, TIGs, bigger intake.... E35 then bigger TMIC, then pre throttle body Meth, then pre turbo Meth. Not sure where to go next. I think the only thing left is BT

Living here in Texas, Meth helped quite a bit with BATs. With Meth and the new TMIC, I can go WOT with out fear the engine will run backwards

@phate thought you might want to read this one.

e85 is significantly less temperamental about air temperatures than gasoline alone. Despite what your BAT gauge shows as the temp, the direct injected ethanol is doing essentially the same thing in the cylinder, cooling the fuel air mix right before it explodes. That is part of where the knock prevention of alcohol comes from.

http://dspace.mit.edu/bitstream/hand.../676953430.pdf has some information about this.

"Another parameter being investigated was intake air temperature. The effect of in- take air temperature on knock threshold as well as IMEP and combustion was of interest, so a range of temperatures was used at each point. Furthermore, ethanol has excellent knock resistance, and the effects of charge cooling due to evaporation required extremely high intake air temperatures to reach the knock limit with E85. In fact, the intake air temperature was limited by the electronics in the throttle body before E85 knocked in the same regime as gasoline with an intake air temperature of
20'C. "

Yeah, when I go BT I will be doing meth along with it, will just need to find the cleanest/stealthiest way to run/route everything. I'm prepared for the work and time it will take to do everything like this and do it correctly.

I know it would help with BAT's, consistency, and a few other things. But I don't really want to push it much more, if any at all. I'm extremely happy with the numbers and how it feels/runs. With it actually getting cooler in the upcoming months, heat won't be that bad of an issue. I don't have printouts of the other runs, but they were 321/350 & 323/348.

I agree with Lex about your mid range timing. It is where nearly everyone adds too much timing. Unless you worked timing on those dyno pulls to verify that you were not beyond MBT, I would not run them.
