Default 362whp and 405wtq

Just curious how accurate some of you guys think this accessport vdyno is. I am e85 tuned at 21.5-22psi by purple drank as it says in my signature. Temp was bout 65 flat straight road and no wheel spin at the track of this vdyno. I know these things can be sketchy sometimes, but this seems fairly accurate. Thoughts???

No fucking way.

At most you're around 300whp on the stock turbo with that amount of boost.

AP vdyno are very inaccurate and unreliable. many threads on it available for reading. I believe virtual dyno is a little more accurate than the cobb ap dynometer....but still not as good as an actual dyno

on my 93 tune on vdyno it said 282whp and 320wtq, this also seemed accurate. but im gonna be hitting a dynojet in the next few weeks to get some real life numbers. i just wanted to hear some feedback on how off these vdynos really are lol

just plugged it in to virtual dyno and its saying 309hp and 354tq, that sounds much more like what this thing should actually be putting down

this same entrance ramp/highway flat i have used for the past few weeks of tuning. i thought it was flat....apparently i have been corrected and need to find a truly flat road somewhere!

all in all i am not believing those high AP dyno numbers, and would like to assume that the virtual dyno numbers are much more accurate until i can get on a dynojet

Don't Speed3's trend more accurately with the correction factor set to CF1.01 rather than the default dynojet numbers?

Also set the smoothing to 3 and be sure you've got weight set accurately- including your weight & any tools/speaker boxes etc. under Occ. Weight.

just got the correction factor set to 1.01 and now this is what i got...almost seems like this is a little low for mods and e85 tune, or is this just about correct?

Seems pretty accurate to me, based on other people's results. Pretty good numbers IMO.

So much for 360/400. Those numbers look a lot more realistic however, and that's a pretty solid result.

That's a relatively conservative tune. You have a little more headroom for power if you bump up wastegate more in the top end and dial in ignition timing on a dyno. Partially depends on how long you want your K04 to last. Haha.

I consistently made 285awhp (320 FWD) on stock size cs intake, catted cpe dp, cpe tmic and 25% E85 with CF 1.01 and smoothing 3. So you should have a little bit more potential with your mods. But you can never trust only 1 VD log, gotta put like 5-10 in there and get a good average. My numbers varied from 270-305 but 285 was what it showed on most logs.

Though, every car is different and will react differently to mods. Especially when using different tuners. Weather makes a lot of difference too

He told me to send him logs when I get on the dyno so that he can dial in a little more. So hopefully we can push out a little more after the dyno

MD1032, should i ask for this to be done or will it even make enough of a difference for me to worry about? and i was under the assumption that 21-22psi is all the k04 can handle? i also have noticed in my logs that psi is dropping from that point all the way down to 16-17psi when i have seen a lot of logs posted up here that hold 18psi to redline

Asking for it to be done is up to you. The mix you're running is probably high enough (haven't verified personally) to totally max out the K04, so there's no safety issues there, plus you can always just run a higher mix. If you run 100% WGDC on a K04 like I do then like I said you will find yourself looking for a new turbo in 10-30k miles. I didn't care because the stock turbo is very inexpensive.

Holding 18 psi to redline might be an unrealistic expectation. Even on my car being fully catless and a big intake and upgraded intercooler, running 100% WGDC, I wasn't over 18 psi at redline most days, more like 17-17.5. It depends a lot on the weather.

My mix now is 4gal per tank. And I have 85k on motor now. I'm not too worried about the turbo at the moment. If it goes out I buy a CS replacement and call it a day. I also don't push my car everyday. This car is a DD that carries my wife and two kids around also. So if we turn up the wgdc and push another gal or two of e85, will I be able to see an improvement that is worth pushing the turbo that hard? Trying to stay somewhat reliable. Just put on a CS OCC today also to keep things clean

i was really hoping to be around 320whp and 350wtq, is that going to be possible with more aggressive tuning?

OK...again, you need to set all your throttle position cells to 75% before importing the log into vdyno, or your vdyno will look like that...

do you mean in the log? or do you mean through accesstuner? i do not have accesstuner software. can this be done through the AP? i did it through the log before i imported to virtual dyno and these are the 2 logs and 1 adjusted to 75. not sure if this is what you are looking for but they are all 3 very very close on the graph.

Dude stop chasing numbers. If the car feels good and pulls good then just leave it at that. If you want real numbers go hit a dyno. Otherwise you are always going to disappoint yourself because you thought you were putting down more power blah blah blah...
Cheapspeed and Mmahan3510 like this.

In the logs.
In that last log it looks like lines 25 through 199 should be set to 76 in the Throttle Position (%) column.

If you add in Accelerator Pedal Position it will be easier to tell since that should, for WOT logs, go to 100% and you can just enter 76 in the TP column for the whole range where APP is 100

I follow this: How To: Setup and use Virtual Dyno

Also, I've read recently that VDyno's DynoJet correction factor is much more accurate than it used to be; assuming you do the SAE correction too. See @g00s3y; post #22 stock dyno & Cobb v-dyno numbers

I have similar mods to you, and my VDyno shows 326/365 at 64 degrees ambient temp. I have slightly more timing than you up top though. Once I find a way to justify the $125 for 3 pulls, I'll get actual numbers.

My Cobb dyno was the original post numbers and the virtual dyno were all the others that seem more accurate. I can do 3 pulls for $60 here, which is a great price!

It'll be interesting to see where you end up - closers to DJ or 1.01 numbers. Be sure to post what type of dyno you're on.

it'd be great to drop the 1.01 stuff
