Default BigJim FREEKTUNE dyno results

Well we had about 15 cars on the dyno this past weekend for the NATOR MA/NH spring dyno day. Car is moving pretty good! No difference in tunes Red was my last pull and blue was my first. THANKS Justin!@atvfreek

I am sure you'd detune him so he couldn't lol. Intresting you say that about the CBE, so you say roughly 300hp or so and a 3" CBE would benefit?

Lol, I won't detune him, but I always have a trick up my sleeve to give my car the edge.... We will find out soon enough about the exhaust being restrictive near 300, as that will probably be my next purchase.

Sounds good...I'd be interested to see the difference. I've always heard it doesn't do much until you need it with a BT.

It definetly does something. When Jim added the cs exhaust his car was overboosting by about 2psi and I needed to lower his wgdc table by 10% and made his load dynamics table a little more aggresive to keep things in check.

All my tunes are hybrid as you would call it, but his is mostly load based because of the catless DP, which makes boost fluctuate like crazy in the cold.

cool beans and good numbers bro

I have found load based tunes to be more stable on heavily modified cars. I switched @Captain KR over to a load based tune as we starting turning up the boost on his 3076.

I have had nothing but good results doing complete boost tunes, yes the boost might fluctuate .25 here and there, but other than that everything has been pretty smooth.

If you hybrid tune, it will make the lowest tq possible. So if it hits 17psi, before the 1.9 load it will stop there. But if it's freezing out, it will hit 1.9 load and stop at whatever boost that is (maybe 16). This is the best way I've found to tune. Especially when the car is has a stock hpfp.

Everyone has their own "style". This is mine. There's no right or wrong way to do it, as long as you are comfortable with it.

When I hybrid tune, I start with a boost tune and once it's dialed in I'll set all my load targets to match logged load. Hybrid tuning adds an extra layer of safety....

I've been considering the hybrid tune method now that I've got my boost tune working great. Only time I have issues is also in extreme cold (< 25* weather).

i just mean i think he could run more torque down low and hold that 350 longer, but you might have made it that way to put less stress on his motor, idk. just thinking out loud

Thats a great looking tq curve and prob not much more can squeezed out on pump gas. It could just be how the guy on the dyno rolled into the throttle.

I have him hit 20psi at 3k, but I like timing to not be over aggressive on spool up. On the street Jim won't be mashing on it at 2500 in 4th unless he's datalogging.

What was the cf on your dyno?
