So yesterday I finally had the opportunity to get on the dyno and turn the car up.

The log/dyno sheet is attached.

This car is an absolute beast, the weather was on my side since it was a 9000ft density altitude. so the SAE correction factor was quite well.

The car made just shy of 700 uncorrected hp with the 9000ft DA

This car at sea level could easily make 800+ and very well close to 900 if the car could hold more boost. As you can see in the logs the car hits 41psi and holds to 6800ish then drops to 35psi by 8k. This is an issue that is trying to be fixed.

Fuel is 100% E85, DW 2200CC injectors in my PI rail. Duel DW 340LPH in tank pumps.

I'm holding out for cooler weather and a lower density altitude for the track. The car as it sits now should easily trap 140+. I just have to get a good 1/8th mile down before i make a full pull. Track is nazi's with the 135mph/11.5 rule.

That neon ran a 10.8 at like 135 and has since been parted out and sold

Great numbers!!!how are you reving 8000rpm with AP is that an option i have in mind that was avaliable untill 7700rpm??

Any ideas as to why you can't boost beyond 41psi? Only reason I ask is because I will be running a 6466 on my build and I want 50+psi, lol. If you're having issues with the hotside, then I can only assume those issues will be the same for me. Curious.

I think it has to do with the way my boost controller is set up. I'm only taped into the side of the gate and I want to say I need to tap into the top of the gate also.

It also may be my altitude.

That's how I was planning to run my wastegate. VTA the top-port and only use the side port. I might need to have the WGA and EBCS brought back to a vacuum source instead of VTA.

Altitude doesn't have that much of an impact on boost. At least that's what I've been told. I live at sea level so it's all gravy for me.

Non the less, 860whp is beyond impressive. That is one hell of a build. What size head-studs are you running?

as long as you have a proper exhaust you can hit that boost level. We hit 48psi on kr's car with a 3.5" exhaust and the 6466. You are at sea level like us so it's easier to hit these high boost numbers vs smurf being at 5700ft above sea level.

we had to on his ms6 with the 3" exhaust we couldn't get past 38psi. swapped to the 3.5 and boom faster spool and was able to get all the psi's.

you could always just use CO2 for the gate to achieve desired boost. Sometimes the combo of gate placement and hotside sizing can cause you to lose that boost up top.
