I know @PapaSmurf; pc'd his but I don't want to compromise the structural integrity of an awesome strong reliable wheel. But I love the bright color of my current track setup.
Wrong..it's +40 with 5mm spacers = +35 offset..

17x8 +45 with 235/45 extremecontact DW. no roll or pull. only rubbing is on the fender/bumper flange when fully loaded. a little dremeling will solve that.

not the best pics, but these are the only ones i have available right now.

The faces on 17x8 vs 17x9 are crazy different look. 9's sink in 8's stick out

My 17x9 with 245/45 had no issue up front but I'm using 5mm spacer maybe that helps.

i personally think the 17x9" looks overall better than the 17x8" for sure. i went with the 8" because i liked the way they fit the vehicle better and line up with the fender rather than stick out. they are also a shade lighter (not by anything you'd probably notice) and i didn't want to deal with the fender work to squeeze a 9" in there without the rubbing issues. i would love to have an 8" rim with the face of the 9".

I tracked mine last weekend with no rubbing issues at all no fender roll nothing. They don't stick out there flush besides front a tad with 5mm. I'm on H&R spring. If they don't rub at the track they'll never rub unless I go lower.

maybe the pu is different? i'd have some bad rubbing issues in the rear if my tire was 1/2" further out, if i'm doing my math right. i definitely like the way your setup looks, though.

255/40 will be about same height depending on brand as 245/45. I might try 255 next time but 245 are plenty of meat.

I can't decide between 17x9.5 or 18x9.5 wrapped in 245/35s I want that meaty look but the 18s just don't quite sit low enough granted I have a less wheel gap then them. IDk???!!! what to do!

From what I've read, it seems some guys have had to roll their fenders and some others haven't on that genpu 17x9 RFP1 setup...
I'm going for 17x9 RFP1s wrapped in 255/40 Nitto NT05's. Lowered on Swifts Spec R with JBR camber arms in the rear. I do not plan on rolling rear fenders at first, will see how it fits and post pictures when it's all done. Going for the gold/VRM combo. Can't wait to have these on!

Are you running adjustable camber arms? If so what kind of camber are you running in the rear?

I'm going for 17x9 RFP1s wrapped in 255/40 Nitto NT05's. Lowered on Swifts Spec R with JBR camber arms in the rear. I do not plan on rolling rear fenders at first, will see how it fits and post pictures when it's all done. Going for the gold/VRM combo. Can't wait to have these on!
Just gonna leave this here...(RPF1 in 255/40/17 NT05s...in a gold/VRM combo)...

FYI when I installed my setup even with 5mm spacers in the front I still didnt clear my coilovers so I changed it to 8mm spacers to clear. It also depends on tires since some are wider than others. My rears I had to roll since I was constantly rubbing. The guy said he didnt want to roll and pull my fenders since pulling causes dimpling. But with some camber arms and you'll be set.

@starscream;

Thanks man! Your car and pictures are sick! I absolutely love the gold/red combo, had it on my previous car with Varrstoen's, however it didn't compete with the VRM and Enkei gold together. Yours is just soooo beautiful and inspiring!

How do you like the NT05's so far?
