Slicks / Drag Radials

I've seen FD RX7 wheels on the 1st gen MS3's before, and I know those wheels are 16x8. Looking to get a pair of those for drag radials. Does anyone here know if any 15" wheels fit the 2nd gen MS3, for slicks? The MS3 brakes are of decent size.

I don't remember if I've ever seen 16" slicks.

Offset for 1st gen and 2nd gen MS3 is the same, right?

15's will not fit unless you down grade to the mz3 brakes!! Mikey Thompson makes a 16" street slick. You should just buy dot drag raidials. I have had bfg raidials I think 235/45/17 and the I currently have the nitto 555r raidials on some 16x8s 245/50/16 I like the nittos more they got me a 1.8 60 foot the bfgs got me 2.0 maybe I was making less powah

245/50/16 drag radials don't rub the fenders or anything, and they fit on 16x8's? I might look into that. Would you know what offset 16x8 wheels I would need? I know RX7 wheels fit nicely, but unsure of what that offset is.

Not a fan of Nitto 555R's. Used to run those on other cars. I like the BFG G Force drag radials.

You want a 45-48 offset I have 40 offset rubbed only at full lock with a 2" drop

i understand a a 5x114.3 is the same bolt pattern as a 5 x 4-1/2'


I know we share the same bolt pattern as the mustang. Are there any 16x8 mustang wheels. Mustang wheels are dime a dozen and i dont care what they look like because i would only use them at the track.

FYI( im running stock ride hieght)

im looking for a cheaper wheel solution

?if a wheel does not clear are wheel spacers a bad idea with slicks?

Spacers with stock lugs and studs is no good. Some may disagree with me, but I've seen, and have done so myself, snapped studs (old turbo Integra GSR running 13" drag wheels and fat slicks). Not sure about the Mustang wheels; is the offset the same?

Know of any other 16x8", 5x114.3, 45-48 offset wheels?

Offset? i dont care much for the offset as long as they fit without rubbing while pointed straight. Im ok with some rubbing while turning.

i should have said that my intent was to bracket race so i don't care about the look im just looking at the price.

I found out mustang wheels are the same bolt pattern so these wheels will fit the hub. not sure about if the with rub.

offset on fd wheels is +50 i believe, might be +52

I would look into Nitto NT05's and a light weight set of forged 17's. Should be good enough for a 1.8 - 1.9 60ft plus you can use them daily.

I was pulling 2.0 -2.1's with Yokohama Parda Spec 2's - stock wheels.
