Hey guys. Brand New here, buying my MS3 tomorrow! I've been doing my research, the one I'm buying has the entire Cobb stage 1+ except for the hpfp internals. He hasn't put many miles on since the upgrades, and the car only has 26k. My question is, is there anywhere I can get these for less than $350? I've tried rpm, cobb, streetunit, and a few others and the best coupon I can come up with its the $10 one from edge. Any better deals out there?

Try contacting the vendors directly, they are more than helpful and knowledgeable. Pat at RPM has always come through for me with both advice and parts.

Why would I pay $350 if someone here with valuable knowledge(so far, no good) has a source for $300? If you can't handle your money right, maybe YOU should buy a different car. At least I've done my research and looked around. You're just being a dick.

No, i'm just being brutally honest.

Saving $50 is "valuable knowledge"... good to know.

Also, totally honest again, I got my AT's for less than $300 brand new from an MSF vendor. But, since I'm a dick, I won't tell you how. If you wait long enough you might find out though.

You could get lucky like me. Find a local parting out and just swap housings + extra cash on my end. Got mine for $200 and already installed.

They're used by several other platforms, so search for the part number and get em from the lowest priced seller you feel comfortable sharing your credit card number with.

Typically you won't find much of a deal on a new set unless you get really lucky. If that's what you find to be the case I'd encourage doing business with one of the local vendors that supports the Mazdaspeed platform! They're still hanging with us so they deserve all the support we can give em!

Ebay is your friend too. Plenty of people use them for Audi's and VW's (as you will soon see on the box). I got mine BNIB for $265, if you can afford to be patient, then do it.

Additionally, "dishing it out" only works when the person actually says something stupid or ignorant (or of course is somewhat of a noob). @g00s3y; was legitimately being helpful. Especially to someone new to this platform, you should know what you're getting yourself into. One morning you may start your car and hear the VVT rattle. There's $500 down the drain (if you do it yourself). Wanna show off how you don't even have to downshift on the highway to pass someone? There's $3500 and many many hours of labor gone. We're warning you that you're gonna have a bad time if you try to cut corners with this car; plenty of people have tried and shortly parted out. There's nothing wrong with trying to save money, and plenty of people on this thread have offered some advice, but damn dude learn to identify someone that's just being brutally honest.

You already said you're buying a car that's modded without internals. I would be checking compression before purchasing. HPFP internals won't mean anything if the engine is already fucked.

For what it's worth I'm getting the corksport internals at the regular 349.00. Somethings are worth paying full price and IMO this is one of them.
