Default help with internals

I know this is an old thread but i need help immediately. I have a stock 2013 mazdaspeed3 and just put on autotech high pressure fuel pump internals and i have 3 check engine light codes and the turbo is not getting boost at all. Any help would be great

What are the CEL's?

Did you remove the intake to do the internals and forget to hook up the EBCS when putting it all back together?

The 3 check engine lights are
P0171
P0192
P0089
Turbo is not getting boost. Went to a local performance shop and they said the engine can detonate at any moment. Got me scared as fuck

And yes I took out the intake and I didn't forget to plug anything back in

You forgot to plug something back in.

And you know enough to install the internals yourself, but couldn't google the engine codes to see what they are?

What "performance shop" told you the engine could blow at any moment? Was that just because they weren't getting paid to take a look at it?

Seriously, go back over everything, you most likely forgot to plug something in.

Or you didn't install the internals correctly, that could be it also.

That's what the local performance shop told me. They said 2 of the 4 cylinders were gunna blow and that I'm an idiot for getting high pressure fuel pump internals on this car because it doesn't need it. My buddy that installed them will look over every thing tommorow. I know one of the codes is p0171 which means too lean I think

I have CEL p0171 which is system is too lean. I have p0192 which is fuel rail pressure sensor and p0089 which is fuel pressure regulator failure. I don't know if this car is safe to drive at this moment. I'm kind of a noobie sorry for the ignorance

It is not safe to drive. You left something unplugged. Either a connector on the injector harness, or the ground on the HPFP body.

But is that the reason the turbo isn't producing any boost? The turbo is spooling a bit but no boost at all its giving me

You probably ALSO left the EBCS either disconnected or missing a vac line, or broken.

And first you installed internals, now a buddy installed them. I have a feeling there is more to this story that isn't being told. Did the shop say they weren't needed, or did your buddy say that? If you didn't install them, how do you know everything was put back together?

Internals either installed wrong or a connector that was left unplugged, or both. Tell your buddy to learn how to install parts on a car properly, especially if it isn't his.

Also, how could they tell 2 & 4 were going to blow? Did they open the hood and say "yep, that's fucked up".

Yeah I don't think I'll go to that shop again. Maybe they were just trying to scare me. They told me this car has a glass motor and I can do whatever mods I was on this car without having to put high pressure fuel pump internals. But I told him the first thing you do is high pressure fuel pump internals on this car

How does this sentence even make sense? Glass motor, but does not need proper fueling?

My buddy did the install for me. I watched him do it. The performance shop didn't look under the hood. They just looked up the codes and told me all this stuff. My buddy has a speed3 with the internals as well and did them for me today and now all this stuff happened

I think the local performance shop that I went to was just trying to scare me. As of right now my car is going to sit in the garage and my buddy with the speed3 that did the actual install will see to make sure everything is connected

I think the local performance shop that I went to was just trying to scare me. As of right now my car is going to sit in the garage and my buddy with the speed3 that did the actual install will see to make sure everything is connected
Because you don't know how to open your hood and check connections?

I opened the hood and checked all the connections I'm pretty sure and everything seemed okay. My buddy with his speed3 I'm not sure if he is on the forums. If anything I will take it to speed performance which is a very good mazdaspeed3 auto shop in my town

I was just trying to see how the car was running and I noticed I was building no boost what so ever. That stupid performance shop told me this car has a glass motor and easily breaks

There is a youtube video of someone installing the corksport internals and you can look at all the hoses and connectors to get an idea what to look for. And for the record youtube has a video for almost everything.

I'm still trying to figure out how those codes computed in their minds to read as 2 of the 4 cyl are about to explode... lol I think this shop should stick to selling xl spoilers and lowering springs... leave the engine work to the people who actually know somthing about them.

I wanted to call troll on this so bad, but you've named too many details about the subject to sway me otherwise. Watch the videos and read the how-to threads on here and re-do everything yourself. Your friend has internals yet he fucked up the install on yours? I'm still rolling from the shop that said your cylinders were going to blow without even popping the hood and performing any type of compression check or diagnostic check on your engine.
