(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score FYI, this is for the illumination wire on the Defi gauges so that they dim when you turn on your lights.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Unfortunately, I believe my 2012 never even had an option for ash tray or anything so nothing lights up down there when I turn on the lights. No ring around the "cig lighter" nor any light in the spot an ash tray would be..but instead on mine is a cubby and a no smoking sticker. lol

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Ok, looking at the wiring diagram, with my limited understanding of electronics, I think I might have found a signaling wire that goes right by the in cabin fuse block but would love for someone to take a look and check out my idea first. On page 250 we see a diagram which includes the LED indirect lighting for the power window switch area in the drivers door. C29 which I believe means Connector 29. Page 251 we see that C29 is in the area that the in cabin fuse block would be sitting. The attached images are the parts of particular interest to me...but I'm not sure how to read it in a way to identify the correct wire color to tap.

I ended up tapping the light green wire going to the DSC switch and all is working great for the boost gauge lighting now.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The glove box light is tied to the headlights as well. Might be an easier spot to tap inside the cabin. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score For a Gen 1 maybe, since they have to run their wires to the glovebox area anyway...but for Gen 2, the DSC button and wiring is just a couple of inches away from the fuse block with nothing in the way.
