AP v2 screen failure possible fix

So my access port screen has not been coming on for pass 4 months and I didn't really try to send it in because it's out of warranty

The accessport was still functional everything (flashing reading through PC etc) but the screen worked I pulled off the covers detAtched the screen connector and put it back in evenly and carefully and voila

Not a guarantee fix just a quick attempt if it doesn't

Edit: first call Cobb to see what they can do for you!

Suggest calling cobb, they seem to work with you in most cases.

Comes here first when the answer is to call cobb....

This isn't a car specific problem its a hard part/manufactured problem.

My screen went out, and I was far out of warranty. 108 to replace and ship back to me.

Glad it worked out for you, I am partial to blowing into the connector like a NES cartridge.

Obviously already called Cobb.. How do you think I know it's out of warranty. Take it or leave it lol worked for me.

Ive done that blowing into the connector sometimes it worked a while back sometimes.

I noticed the connector for the screen was sort of loose as soon as I popped it open.

COBB replaced mine a couple years ago and they told me there was a bad batch of screens and charged me nothing..... just shipping to them.

I have to say, props to you for calling Cobb, finding out that you didn't want to pay the cost for them to fix it, decided to try yourself, and it worked. Nice.

My V2 has had a flicker since I got it back for warranty work months ago. I just purchased a V3 as an upgrade due to the screen issue. Didn't want to sell it to someone knowing there may be an issue with the screen and i didn't want it to go out and be sol. Maybe I'll win their tbe they were running with an upgrade or purchase.

Yeah my choice was either buy the v3 and eat this expensive paperweight as a loss cause definitely didn't want to screw somebody else over
