Eonon GA6163f to PAC AOEM-MAZ2 to Stock Bose

So I just purchased/received a Eonon GA6163f, which was released a couple months ago. Before purchasing I saw reviews that show that the new unit still requires you to splice in RCAs or use a PAC AOEM-MAZ2 harness to avoid any volume/hiss issues caused by the HU built in amp.

So I purchased a PAC AOEM-MAZ2 as well. I'm currently trying to follow the instructions that came with the PAC and I'm not really understanding their diagram according to the cables actually provided. I've pictured both below and tried to label things in case it helps.

What I want to confirm is whether I have the cables in the right order (supposed to be plug and play) and/or if its totally wrong. By the diagram it looks wrong but based on fitment and harness order, I can't see any other combination really happening.

Can anyone confirm here that I'm on the right track before I put power to everything? All the related threads/videos I've found don't actually show what it physically looks like when you add a aftermarket HU and want to keep the original Bose speakers and sub by using the PAC secondary harness.

Thats the wrong pac part. You can use the OEM1(NOT AOEM-MAZ2) or you can just solder male rcas to the speaker wires and plug them directly into your new radio.

Thanks! I actually have to return the unit. It is disabling my climate control and there are dead pexels on the lcd. It also doesnt respond to some app commands or screen touches. They must be still working out the bugs in this thing. It honestly didn't sound THAT bad. I expected worse.

I looked at the PAC part again this morning to confirm, and it actually says its OEM1 right on the blue box pictured above. I think the part AOEM-MAZ2 is just the combo of OEM1 and the harnesses. Did I just not get the right wiring harnesses with OEM1?

So, how do I have it connected incorrectly as it doesn't appear to have made any difference hooked up. Still had hissing and amplified volume problems. I wasn't using the RCA's on the opposite end of the OEM1, do those need to be plugged into the RCA outs of the head unit as well?

The OEM1 is just a line output reducer. It takes the high level speaker outputs and converts them to low level outputs the bose amp can use. The part you bought includes the main component of the oem1, but comes with harnesses and is pre wired to provide rca outputs for you to add amps to the oem radio.

You could cut it up and make it work, but there is really no need as soldering in $5 worth of rca connectors works just as well if your radio has >2v preouts.

I found a perfect resource that shows everything, including the aux fix and RCA splice with great pictures on Imgur. (right hand drive though and the previous model stereo, this doesn't change anything because the issues are exactly the same and the solutions are the same). But hopefully it helps someone going down the same road in the future.
