Yeah Actually I did.
After a investigation I came across the forums that the Bose amp needs the have the "amp remote" wire turned on. (most frequently it is the blue wire with white stripes).

I double checked my cables (for bose you need to plugin in the audio cables with the little box (cricut protection box) attached to it.
I checked the voltage of the remote amp wire and it was "dead".

So One of the options is that the amplifier wire is not turned on.

So Go to your equalizer(either from radio/music or settings/car infotainment/sound)
In the lower left corner you will see the icon with 5 dots.

It opens another menu. There is a option Examp that is turned off. Turn it on and: Let there be rock! :drive: :slomo:

Hi Friend,

I am about to get such device. I am a bit concern about the quality of the built in amp. Can you please share your feedback about audio quality of any type of audio format you played?

Overall is this device good improvement over stock head unit?

Thank you in advance.

I have eonon for non bose 2008 speed 3. Sound great, looks great. Loads a tad slow I have last years model, not the latest eonon unit, so can't speak if they improved it.

Only issue I have is it sounds like the bluetooth codec in this unit transmits music at like 60 kbs. I can hear a lack of audio quality using bluetooth streaming, that isn't present using the exact same audio file from SD card, or on a different bluetooth receiver. Bluetooth phone calls sound as expected, using the built in mic. I didn't even hook up the wired extension one that came with it.

Also, my AUX jack is defective, so I can't even speak as to the performance of this on the unit. I should just get an aux to rca cable and replace it, but I'm too lazy, plus been waiting to pull out the dash again until I go subs (if I do)

Installation took about 1 hour start to finish. Another 30 minutes to install the backup cam.

random question for you guys. i installed this headunit the other day, everything works fine except my upper led display constantly says navi system. is that normal for you?

Sonofnothing 03-24-2019 08:24 PM

Thanks for this. I purchased a new Eonon navi unit because the 2013 variant was sluggish and just awful to deal with. This one is great, connects to BT quickly, and now I finally have sound!

Let me ask, is there another way to EQ the car, though? This version of the head unit does not have a dedicated subwoofer EQ, so when you engage LOUD, the sub is full throttle. Lets just say this Bose system sucks ass, as we all know already...

Has anyone been able to get the Speak, Pick up and Hang up button on the steering wheel to work?

Hello,

To have the phone buttons working you need to connect the SW1 wire to a certain cable on the BT module found under the glove box.
I believe its a blue wire. I cannot recall 100%

Then you go into the button section and relearn all the buttons so that it detects your input.

To anyone who is intersted in buying this unit.
Sound is perfect (Another one bites the dusts is clean).
Only problem with this unit is the built in microphone. You have to tweak it pretty hard in order to not get an echo and that the other guy hears you.
That being said-the tweaks need basically a factory reset all the time until you get your "perfect" micboost.
Other than that device is great.
Regarding the call and hangup buttons out of the box they are not supported. I am not sure about re-wiring

I have the 9363 or 9163 version. The unit works ok. The sound is definitely not like the oem headunit. The whole thing is glitchy but good enough to keep it. The downside is it shits off about once a week and needs to be reset to alleviate the blank screen. I have read thisnis common with Eonon.

The only reason I got the unit was for a screen for the reverse cam which works well. Otherwise I would have returned it and stayed stock.

I have this unit for a year now, and I am in my car at least 2 hours a day. Never had this problem at all.Maybe it is from a unit to unit kind of thing?

tripppleP 12-03-2019 08:20 PM

Must be. I would say every 2-3 days my unit's screen turns blank and needs to be reset. Today I pulled in for gas, turned the car off and back on, and the screen went blank and the unit had to be reset to return back on.

When I email the company they reply with a list of 10 things to do in broken English. I kind of want to return the unit or exchange it. I can't see paying $300 for an item like this and have it blank out every couple of days.

Stupid queation. Is your car voltage and current stable?
That sound to me like the voltage is dropping for some reason and it is messing with the headunits capacitors.
Or the headunit capacitors aren't good.

I don't know how to check that. There are no other current electrical issues with the car. How would I find out if there is an issue with the car?

Also, when I google the issue it seems I am not the only one with this issue. I think there is even a review on amazon about the same thing. I also seen an advertisement for a business that is specific to the issue. So that makes me think its less likely the car and more so the head unit. I would still investigate the car if I new how.

RhRU 12-04-2019 05:41 AM

Simplesti thing is maybe to find an andoid app that shows yo the current. Other than that you would need a measuring device connected to the cables to see the stability of the voltage itself.

small offtopic:
Also tripppleP since I cannot send PM's just yet. Can you look at this thread?

Yes this is normal. No worries about it. Basically the car is "adapting" to the new system and it registers it as a nav device
