Default Upgrade Sirius to XM?

Hey y'all went through 9 pages worth of Sirius related posts and couldn't find anything. I have a 2012 MS3 with tech package and really want to upgrade my Sirius receiver to one that is XM compatible(I really want the XM turbo channel). For starters, is this even possible, or am I looking at just having to upgrade the entire head unit? Second, if I do have to upgrade, any recommendations that aren't going to break the bank but still offer full functionality?

Thanks for the help.

Didn't Sirius buy XM a few years ago?

They merged the companies like 10 years ago, but not the radio technology until very recently. So you still see alot of Sirius or XM-only radios, and a few channels that are different numbers depending on what you have.

Isn't Turbo online only? I have a non-tech MS3 and added the XM receiver kit, so I'll confirm that tonight when I get home. But I think last time I tried it was an invalid channel (314).

My brother gets it in his 2016 WRX. I contacted Sirius and that was their initial response too however when I told them about my brother's Subaru, that's when they said that it's because he has an XM receiver and ours is only Sirius.

I know I can stream it but tbh signal out here kinda sucks so I'm dropping connection all the damn time.
