Boost leak testing, possibly Wastegate/Actuator leak

Member for a year now but first time posting as I this is the first time I couldn't find my answer by searching.

I was boost leak testing my car (mods in sig) to get ready for a good tune and it would not hold pressure.

My method:
Removed Battery, Intake and Turbo Inlet hose.
I attached my boost leak tester to the air inlet/compressor side of the turbo.
Attempted to pressurized system slowly up to 10 psi.

The air seemed to freely flow out the recirculation port on my Corksport BPV, which I don't think should have happened (which Corksport later confirmed it should not). Before I knew that to try and continue testing I attached the recirculation tube to it, blocked the tube off and pressurized the system to just under 10 psi. I could hear air leaking from around the turbo area and pressure dropped quicker than I think it should. After about 7- 10 pressurizations I ended my boost leak testing as I could not confirm the location of the possible leak and I wanted to confirm a few things before continuing.

So I think I'm either doing the boost leak test incorrectly or the Wastegate/Actuator/tube to it maybe leaking. I couldn't find an exact write up or video on boost leak testing a Mazdapseed3 and before I start pulling the wastegate off I would like the communities opinion/knowledge.

I hold boost in WOT between 19 and 17 psi (per Cobb +/- 1.5 psi), see a little boost spike sometimes on the AP (20 to 22 psi) and get a lean AFR usually in between shifts, usually mid 10s, sort of like the lean AFR issue using flat foot shifting I have read about. WOT looks "okay" staying around 11.4. Log attached - 3gear to 5800rpm.xlsx

Please let me know if I'm being a huge newb and leak testing wrong (are any tubes supposed to be blocked when testing from the compressor inlet?) or if it seems that I have an actual leak causing the hissing and or the air freely flowing through the BPV via the method described above.


Update 8/4 4:30 pm - Cobb Tuning has confirmed that it should not be leaking anywhere at 5 psi with no tubes blocked off and to test from the turbo inlet hose to also test the vacuum lines. I will be re-doing the test in the next couple days and re-update this thread for the benefit of others.
